Maruti Suzuki’s products have now gotten dearer as of January 10.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that they have hiked the prices of their entire model range. The price escalation of their products ranges from Rs. 1,700 to Rs. 17,000. The price increase will depend on model and its variants. The reason behind the price escalation is the increase in commodity and other administrative and distribution costs.

The new prices have become effective from January 10, 2018. However, Maruti Suzuki is not the only manufacturer to have hiked their prices at the beginning of the new year.

In fact, it is a normal practice for nearly all manufacturers to surge the prices of their models with the turn of the new year. Honda Cars increased their prices in the range of Rs. 6,000 – Rs 32,000. In December, Hyundai India announced a price increase across their range by 2 per cent, while Tata, Isuzu, Skoda and Toyota have all hiked prices in the recent past.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the new Swift very soon. Additionally, at the 2018 Auto Expo, MSIL will showcase a brand new concept car currently called the ConceptFutureS, which the manufacturer claims will set the design language for an all-new compact car with SUV like characteristics.
