The new S63 Coupe is now the most poweful AMG coupe to be sold in India.

Not too long after launching the bonkers E63 S saloon, Mercedes-AMG has now brought the S63 Coupe to India at ₹2.55 crore (ex-showroom).

Based on the standard S-Class Coupe, the S63 combines the extravagance of the former with the maniac motor of the E63 S. So, under its bonnet lies a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 that produces an identical 603 horses and an insane 900Nm of peak torque - which is 50Nm higher than the E63 S!

All the firepower is channeled to the wheels via a 9-speed torque converter gearbox. Also standard is Mercedes’ 4Matic+ AWD system for added traction. Therefore, AMG claims that the S63 Coupe dismisses the 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.5 seconds and can attain a top speed of 250km/h, which can be increased by 50km/h via the optional AMG Driver’s Pack.

The sporty S63 coupe can be differentiated from the standard S Coupe by that aggressive ‘Panamericana’ grille which is now a standard feature of most 63 series AMG models. On the inside, the S63 comes with all S-Class creature comforts like Nappa leather, 12.3-inch widescreen colour display, and a long list of other luxury and safety tech. Being an AMG, the insides also feature AMG sports seats, AMG steering wheel and AMG badges all around.

The S63 competes in India with other powerful luxury grand tourers like Porsche Panamera and Bentley Continental GT.
