After the MG Hector mid-size SUV, MG ZS EV all-electric crossover and MG Gloster a full-size SUV, MG teases an all-electric sports car concept by the name of Cyberster. To be showcased on March 31st.

MG Cyberster, an all-electric sports car concept has been teased by the British carmaker and a thorough unveiling is scheduled for March 31, 2021. With the news comes a set of four pictures that highlight a few details of the concept sports car and a little technical data. The claimed range of the Cyberster is 800km, and if the claims manage to stand true even after real-world testing of the production model - MG could set a benchmark in the segment. What’s more, is a claimed 0-100km/hr time of 3seconds. The details of the battery pack and motor capacity have been kept a secret for now.

Interestingly, the Cyberster will also host connected car features (Much like the MG Hector?). The Cyberster will get 5G connectivity and most likely MG’s next-generation of multi media-user interface. MG has also said that the Cyberster will have a cabin more influencing towards Gen Z. and have gone ahead and said the cabin will feature ‘Gaming-cockpit’ like elements. So far there are no teasers to confirm that, but we can wait until March 31.

Moving to the styling bit, the electric sports car sports a fascia that pays homage to the MG’s classic cabriolets with its round headlamps and a slim grille design. The lower half of the front bumper gets a shovel-like lip with ‘Cyberster’ embossing. The rear end sports design language what MG likes to call ‘Kammback’ styling. An LED brake-light runs across the car’s full width and the tail lamp partly resembles the Union Jack. The wheel design is multi-spoked with dark colour schemes, but it gets orange highlights that can’t be missed. The wheels are held in place by central-locking nuts, a feature that’s usually noticed on track-spec sports cars.
