Lamborghini have put up a teaser of the track oriented Huracan Performante doing test rounds at Nurburgring before it breaks cover at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Huracan boasts of active aerodynamics packaging and a lower kerb weight.

Dubbed as Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attivia (ALA), or Lamborghini active aerodynamics, the new Huracan prototype was heavily camouflaged, but the new active front spoiler and the rear wing were still very much visible. Both these aero components come in two modes —increase downforce while negotiating turns and reduce drag to achieve top speed, depending on what the person behind the wheel is in a mood for. Apart from the driving modes like Comfort and Road Race, the new Huracan will also come with an additional customized setting like the Ego mode available in the Aventador S. The new Lamborghini also sports a more aggressive front-end and rear diffuser for improved aerodynamics.

Even though Lamborghini hasn’t confirmed this, but the Huracan Performante is expected to get a tweaked 5.2-litre V10 as the Italian sports car manufacturer expects it to achieve a record time at Nurburgring beating the Aventador SV. As mentioned earlier, the Huracan will also be lighter in weight thanks to the use of weight reduction components like Forged Composites.
