It’s no secret that Tata is readying the Sierra nameplate for a second innings, and we saw a near-production version of the SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. The official Tata Sierra launch date has now been confirmed to be November 25, 2025. Tata will launch both ICE and electric versions of the SUV, though it is yet unknown as to which version will be launched first. Here’s all that we know so far about the upcoming Tata Sierra.
The next-generation Sierra gets a familiar greenhouse design as the original Sierra, which was a key design trait of the SUV. It gets connected headlights and taillights, along with a fairly large spoiler, flush door handles, and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The dashboard gets two screens, though there might be a third screen on offer, too, as seen on certain spy shots.
Tata has been secretive about the powertrain options that will be offered on the Sierra. We expect the electric version to share its battery and motor combinations with the recently-launched Harrier EV.

The ICE version is expected to come with the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine, a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a new 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
