Toyota’s official USA Facebook page announced that the 2014 Toyota Corolla will be launched on June 6. To add to the mystery of how the car will look, they also attached a teaser image to the announcement.
Toyota showed off the Corolla Furia Conccept at the Detroit Motorshow this year and so we have a fair idea about how it will look. But like always, the production version of the car will not be as flamboyant as the concept.
Expect the new-Corolla to get the same 1.8-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel engine and it is most likely to share most of its components with the Camry. If you’re asking when it will come to India? Well we don’t know for sure yet because Toyota Kirloskar Motor India’s focus is more on developing the Etios and the Liva. Unless Toyota decides to manufacture it here and export it to other countries, we’ll see it this year, else we have to wait.
