Skoda has revealed close up images of their upcoming, india bound SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq.

Just before the world premiere of the much talked about Skoda SUV, the company has decided to tease us with some close up images of the Skoda Kodiaq.

Skoda will officially reveal the Kodiaq on September 1, 2016 in Berlin, Germany. But decided to reveal a selection of close up detail images of the vehicle before hand.

The images reveal a large and wide radiator grille, new chiselled and rakes designed head lamps with LED daytime running lights and full LED technology, and a large front bumper. The Kodiaq will also get crystaline LED rear tail lamps will be offered as standard on the car styled with the signature Skoda C-shape. The vehicle will sit on 235/45 R20 inch alloy wheels.

The Kodiaq will have a spacious cabin with a boot capacity of 720 – 2,065 litres with rear seats folded down, giving the five seater SUV the largest boot space capacity in its class. Skoda will also offer the Kodiaq with an optional 7-seater package. The Kodiaq will also get an optional feature of folding front passenger seat which will enable items as long as 2.90 metres long inside the vehicle.

Skoda have also fitted the Kodiaq with numerous clever gizmos and features. The large SUV has Area View with surround –view wide angle cameras mounted ta the front, rear and the door mirrors which display on the in-car monitor to give a full 360-degree view around the car. the Kodiaq also has tow assist which takes over steering duties when reversing slowly if a trailer is attached to the back of the vehicle. Additionally, while reversing, the new Manoeuvre Assist will brake as soon as an obstacle is detected behind the vehicle.

Skoda is yet to confirm the exact specifications of the vehicle, but it is likely that the Kodiaq will get a hybrid powertrain. The Skoda Kodiaq keeps in line with the brand’s new design language and technology as it introduces and expands the manufacturer’s SUV portfolio. Skoda has confirmed the Kodiaq will be launched in India in 2017 along with the Octavia RS.
