After having a successful 2014 in the Indian market with its Zest, Tata launched its latest offering, the Bolt, this morning. On the lines the Horizonext theme, Tata will make sure with the Bolt, you also get great build quality, rich purchasing experience and quality service. The new Tata Bolt also comes with a three year or one lakh kms warranty and also with a three year 24x7 free Roadside Assistance Service.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President – Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “With the aim to deliver the best to our customers, we at Tata Motors are delighted to launch the much-awaited Bolt, a sporty hatchback. One of the key features of the car is the availability of three different driving modes with the Revotron 1.2T engine. Being the first car in its segment to have this feature, the Bolt comes with Sport, Eco and City modes that allow the driver to have the optimum performance depending on the road conditions.

The car will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version will be India’s first hatchback to be powered by a 1.2-litre Turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) Petrol Engine – REVOTRON 1.2T. The engine will deliver a maximum output of 89bhp and peak torque of 140Nm.

The diesel variant will come with a Quadrajet 1.3-litre engine, delivering a maximum power of 74bhp and optimum torque of 190Nm that provides a peppy drive and effortless delivery of power.

According to the ARAI certifications, the Revotron 1.2T delivers 17.57 kms per litre and the Diesel engine delivers 22.95 kms per litre of fuel efficiency under standard test conditions.

The petrol variant of the Tata Bolt will start from Rs. 4.65 lakhs and the diesel version will begin from Rs. 5.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
