
Tata Motors Total PV Sales Decline 11% Year-on-Year in January
Tata Motors has revealed its sales data for the first month of 2025. In January, the automaker sold a total of 80,304 units (domestic and International).

Tata Motors’ total sales fell to 80,304 units in January from the previous year’s 86,125 units. Of the total, domestic sales stood at 78,159 units, showing a 7% year-on-year decline from the 84,276 units sold in January 2024. In the passenger vehicle segment, there was an 11% year-on-year decline, with sales dropping to 48,316 units from 54,033 units in January 2024. The sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market reached 48,076 units, reflecting a 10% YoY decrease, while exports fell significantly by 40%, at just 240 units. The electric vehicle segment also experienced a 25% drop, with 5,240 units sold in January, compared to 6,979 units the previous year.

Tata Avinya Concept
Tata's Avinya Concept EV blends minimalist design with a roomy interior, demonstrating the company's focus on combining practicality and contemporary style. It has a projected range exceeding 500 kilometres, rapid charging, and cutting-edge connectivity. The concept is based on JLR's adaptable Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA), which allows for diverse battery configurations.
Tata Sierra
The Tata Sierra made its highly anticipated debut in its ICE version at the 2025 Auto Expo. The production-ready model takes inspiration from the iconic 1990s Sierra SUV while incorporating modern design updates that align with today’s SUV trends.

Under the hood, the Sierra is expected to feature a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 166bhp and 280Nm of torque. Additionally, Tata may offer a 2.0-litre diesel engine, producing 166bhp and 350Nm, which is already seen in the Harrier and Safari.
