The new Nexon XZ petrol and diesel trims are priced at Rs. 7.99 lakh and Rs. 8.99 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
Tata Motors has added a fifth variant to its Nexon compact SUV’s range. Called XZ, this new variant is available with both petrol and diesel engine options and slots below the top-end XZ+ trim.
The new variant comes equipped with floating touchscreen infotainment system with voice command & Android Auto support, reverse camera, projector headlamps, height adjustable driver's seat, height adjustable seatbelts, voice alerts and fabric upholstery.
However, for an additional Rs. 58,000, the XZ+ offers a dual-tone roof, daytime running lights, alloy wheels, front & rear centre armrests, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, front & rear fog lamps, rear defogger and passive entry with push button start – all of which are missing on this new XZ.
Last month, Tata introduced Aero option packs for the Nexon, which are priced between Rs. 30,610 – 61,574, depending on the variant. Whether these will be offered on the XZ trim remains to be seen. Tata also showcased the Nexon AMT at this year’s Auto Expo, which should launch in not too distant future.
According to Vivek Srivatsa, Head of marketing, Tata Motors said, ‘With a continuous focus to introduce products that not only enhance the brand, but simultaneously align well with the rising aspirations of customer segments, we are happy to introduce wider choice to Nexon customers in the form of a new variant – XZ. The Nexon XZ will be positioned very attractively to provide premium features to our customers. With exciting features, the Nexon XZ is yet another step towards making the brand more aspirational.’
