Whether it's joint families heading out for a wedding, fleet operators looking for reliable workhorses, or adventure-enthusiasts chasing the next weekend escape—MPVs continue to be the go-to choice for those who need space that works. In FY25, MPVs continued to be a favourite among buyers, holding strong in a competitive market. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga saw the maximum demand, followed by Toyota’s Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta. Here’s a look at the MPVs that sold the most in FY25.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was the highest-selling MPV in FY25, with a strong 28% year-on-year growth. It sold 1.91 lakh units, an increase of nearly 41,000 units over FY24. The model comes in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+, and is priced between Rs 8.96 Lakh and Rs 13.26 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Prioritising affordability and utility in its segment, the Ertiga reinforces its status as the top performer.
Toyota's two Innova models, the Hycross and the Crysta, together sold 1.07 lakh units in FY25, showing a growth of 9% from 98,181 units sold during the same period last year. The Hycross, with its hybrid engine and good features, remains a preferred choice of several individual buyers.

The Crysta, with its diesel engine, continued to be popular with businesses and long-distance travellers. While the Innova Hycross starts at Rs 19.09 lakh, the Crysta starts at Rs 19.99 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.
The Kia Carens experienced a slight growth of 2% in FY25, with 64,609 units sold. The MPV is popular due to its sleek design, well-equipped cabin, and versatile engine options, including petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel. It is set to make its debut in an updated avatar on May 8, 2025. The current Kia Carens is priced starting at Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Despite an 18% dip YoY, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 secured its spot as the fourth best-selling MPV. As a more premium version of the Ertiga, the XL6 stands out with its SUV-inspired design and an elevated sense of style. It is priced between Rs 10.14 lakh and Rs 12.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and has two trims—Zeta and Alpha.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto, which is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, sold 4,063 units in FY25, representing a decline of 8%. The price of the MPV starts at Rs 25.51 lakh and goes up to Rs 29.22 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
