Volkswagen is set to bring the much-anticipated Golf GTI to India soon as a completely built unit (CBU). Bookings for the performance-focused hatchback opened last week with a token amount of Rs 2.65 lakh for the initial batch. However, the first batch sold out quickly due to the high demand, prompting Volkswagen to close bookings. Volkswagen has yet to announce whether more units of the Golf GTI will be made available in India. The price tag of the upcoming performance-oriented car is still under wraps, but if early estimates are anything to go by, the Golf GTI could fetch somewhere near Rs 50 lakh. Read on for more details.
