Volkswagen launched the new Cross Polo today. With this launch the Polo gets more sporty and Volkswagen thinks that it will appeal to customers with active lifestyles and a taste for adventure.
The new Cross Polo comes with new ‘Cross’ front and rear bumpers, black side cladding and wheel arches, silver painted mirrors and roof rails, 5-spoke alloys and 'Livon’ titanium black upholstery.
The Cross Polo will be offered with the 1.2-litre TDI engine which churns out 74bhp @ 4200 rpm and a maximum torque of 180Nm @ 2000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Ltd. said “The Polo is an important carline in the Indian portfolio and with ongoing updates we keep it relevant and exciting for our customers. The Cross Polo has been created for those looking at a premium hatchback in a sporty ‘crossover’ style.”
The New Cross Polo is priced at Rs. 7.75 lakh, ex showroom, Delhi. Sales of the New Cross Polo will commence from August 23, 2013.
