Both engine oil variants have been exclusively formulated for Honda's two-wheelers in India.

For the followers of MotoGP, the association between Spanish petroleum giant Repsol and Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) is not new. In fact, the Repsol Honda factory team is one of the most successful constructors in the history of the sport. But this time, the Spanish and Japanese giants have forged a new alliance outside the domain of motorsport. Honda 2 Wheelers India has partnered with Repsol Lubricants to launch a new range of engine oils for Honda two-wheelers in India – Honda Repsol MOTO Biker and Honda Repsol MOTO Scooter.

As the names suggest, the MOTO Biker engine oil (10W30 MA) is suited to Honda's motorcycles while the MOTO Scooter variant (10W30 MB) is meant for Honda's range of automatic scooters. Launched in three packaging options (800ml, 900ml & 1,000ml), both engine oils will be available for sale in the open market this month onwards.

The manufacturing & marketing of the Honda Repsol MOTO engine oils will be taken care of by India-based GP Petroleums Ltd., the exclusive licensee to manufacture and market Repsol brand of lubricants in India and South Asia.

Sharing her thoughts on the occasion, Ms Clara Velasco (Director – Lubricants at Repsol) said, 'Repsol and Honda have been partners in the Repsol Honda MotoGP team for 26 years, and all the experience we have acquired developing lubricants for this demanding level of competition is passed onto our commercial products. We are excited to strengthen this alliance by launching these co-branded lubricants in India which will allow us to extend the range of our products.'
