Hyundai sold 4,024 units domestically in June 2025, which is a decline of around 12.1% from the 50,103 units sold in June of last year.

Hyundai sold 60,924 units overall in June 2025, representing a 6% decline from the 64,803 units sold in the same month last year. Of this, 44,024 units were sold in the domestic market, showing a drop of around 12.1% from 50,103 units sold in June of last year. On the other hand, exports reached 16,900 units from 14,700 units a year ago, showing an impressive growth of 14.97% year-on-year. Looking at the broader picture, Hyundai’s sales for Q1 FY26 (April–June 2025) stood at 1.80 lakh units, a drop of 6.07% from 1.92 lakh units sold in Q1 FY25. The sales in the local market during the quarter declined by 11.51%, totaling 1.32 lakh units compared to 1.49 lakh units last year. However, exports maintained a positive momentum, growing 13% year-on-year to 48,140 units from 42,600 units.
Commenting on HMIL sales, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL said, 'Underscoring the global appeal of Hyundai vehicles, we recorded a 13% year-on-year growth in export volumes for Q1 FY2026, with 48,140 units shipped compared to 42,600 units in the same period last year. This has elevated the share of exports to 26.7% of total sales in Q1 FY2026, up from 22.2% in Q1 FY2025.'

He also added, 'In the domestic market, the geopolitical situation continued to affect the market sentiment, with domestic sales registering 44,024 units in June 2025. As we come closer to the beginning of production at the Talegaon plant, we remain cautiously optimistic about a gradual recovery of demand, supported by a reduction in repo rates and improving liquidity on account of a cut in CRR. We are closely watching the global geopolitical scenario and are committed to delivering value and innovation to our customers across both domestic and export markets.'
The mid-size SUV reclaimed its position as India’s best-selling car in June 2025, with 15,786 units sold. It had previously dominated the sales in March and April as well, making it the best-selling passenger vehicle in the country for three months this year.

Hyundai claimed that the car was the highest-selling SUV in the first half of the calendar year 2025 (January–June).
