JSW MG Motor India posted a 23% year-on-year growth in April 2025, selling 5,829 units—1,104 more than the 4,725 units sold in April last year. The driving force behind this success is the Windsor EV, which continues its impressive run as the top-selling electric vehicle in India for seven consecutive months. Backed by over 20,000 satisfied customers, the Windsor EV has earned praise for its design, performance, and overall value, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of MG’s lineup. On the month-on-month front, sales rose by 5.96% over March’s 5,501 units.
JSW MG Motor India has introduced the Windsor EV Pro in India, based on the top-spec Essence variant of the SUV. The top-of-the-line model comes with a larger battery pack and is priced at Rs 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers also have the option to opt for the Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan, which reduces the price to Rs 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom), with an additional battery rental cost of Rs 4.5/km. Bookings for the EV are open at a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Although the Windsor Pro mirrors the overall design of the base model with elements like split LED headlights and continuous LED lightbars at the front and rear, it gets a few refined touches like 18-inch alloy wheels. The Pro also gets three striking new shades—Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.
The Pro variant comes equipped with a larger 52.9kWh LFP battery, replacing the 38kWh unit used in the standard model. While it retains the same power output of 134bhp and 200Nm of torque, the increased battery capacity significantly extends driving range—offering up to 449 kilometres on a single charge, compared to the 332 Kilometres ARAI-rated range of the regular version.
