Kia India expanded its sub-4-metre SUV lineup in February this year, launching the Syros, a more premium alternative to the Sonet. Within just two months, the Syros has gained significant traction, selling 15,986 units and contributing nearly 20% to Kia’s total sales in March. Priced between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 17.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV has six variants on offer: HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O). In terms of recent sales performance, Kia India recorded 25,525 domestic sales in March alone, marking a 19.3% increase from the 21,400 units sold in March 2024. The company’s cumulative sales for the full fiscal year surpassed 2.55 lakh units, representing a 4% year-on-year increase over the 2.46 lakh units recorded in FY 2023-24.

The Sonet emerged as the brand’s top-selling model, accounting for 30% of total sales, followed by the Seltos and Carens with contributions of 26% and 22%, respectively. The Syros also made a notable impact within a short span. Kia’s positive momentum extended to its quarterly performance, with sales reaching 75,576 units – up 15.6% from the 65,369 units sold in the same period last year. Additionally, Kia exported 26,892 units, reinforcing its presence in international markets.
