Mahindra recorded total vehicle sales of 84,110 units in May 2025, showing a solid 17% year-on-year growth. This number combines both domestic and export volumes across its passenger and commercial vehicle range. The major contributor to the success was the utility vehicle segment, with domestic SUV sales climbing 21% to 52,431 units, up from 43,218 in May 2024. Including exports, total UV sales reached 54,819 units. Building on this momentum, Mahindra’s domestic UV sales for FY26 so far have crossed 1.05 lakh units—reflecting a strong 24% growth compared to 84,226 units sold during the same period in FY25. Meanwhile, exports rose 37% year-on-year in May, reaching 3,652 units.
Mahindra’s product portfolio in India includes rugged SUVs, practical commercial vehicles, and advanced electric vehicles. Among its best-known models are the Thar, the Scorpio-N, the XUV400 EV, and the BE 6.

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., ‘In May, we achieved SUV sales of 52,431 units, a growth of 21%, and total vehicle sales of 84,110 units, a 17% growth compared to the same month last year. Thanks to continued demand for our products, we were able to deliver industry-leading growth across our ICE and BEV portfolio.’
April 2025 proved to be a strong start to the fiscal year for Mahindra, as the automaker recorded a 19% jump in sales compared to the same period last year, delivering 84,170 vehicles. The company’s domestic SUV segment remained the star performer, rising 28% to 52,330 units, while combined utility vehicle sales—including exports—reached 54,860 units. Export performance was equally notable, surging by 82% to 3,381 units from 1,857 in April 2024.

On the commercial vehicle front, Mahindra moved 22,989 units in the domestic market, buoyed by strong gains across core segments. Light Commercial Vehicles (2T–3.5T) saw a 9% increase with 19,141 units sold, while sales in the heavier LCV >3.5T and MHCV segment climbed 10% to 1,196 units.
