Mercedes-Benz India is set to revise prices across select models, introducing a phased increase of up to 1.5 per cent in response to mounting operational costs. The first hike will be implemented in June 2025, followed by a second adjustment later in September this year. Designed to ease the transition for buyers, the company aims to offer more accommodating purchase options while absorbing most of the financial strain internally. The revised pricing structure will see increments ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 12.20 lakh. The C-Class will undergo the smallest revision, with its new ex-showroom price starting at Rs 60.30 lakh. In contrast, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will witness the highest hike, pushing its price to Rs 3.60 crore (ex-showroom). The German premium carmaker emphasised that the adjustments are modest relative to the broader cost pressures, aiming to preserve customer value and market competitiveness.

The announcement follows similar pricing strategies adopted by other automakers in India, reflecting broader cost challenges in the premium automotive segment.
Mercedes-Benz India’s latest price adjustment stems from a sharp 10% drop in the Euro’s exchange rate against the Rupee over the last four months – an economic shift that has made imports and fully built vehicles significantly more expensive. To ease the impact on consumers, the automaker has opted to intensify localisation and absorb a majority of these elevated costs internally, passing on only a small fraction through revised pricing.
Model | Current Price (ex-showroom) | New Price (ex-showroom) | Difference |
Mercedes-Benz C 200 | Rs 59.4 lakh | Rs 60.3 lakh | Rs 90,000 |
Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC | Rs 76.8 lakh | Rs 78.3 lakh | Rs 1.5 lakh |
Mercedes-Benz E 200 | Rs 79.5 lakh | Rs 81.5 lakh | Rs 2.0 lakh |
Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line | Rs 99.0 lakh | Rs 1.01 crore | Rs 2.50 lakh |
Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 450 4MATIC | Rs 1.28 crore | Rs 1.31 crore | Rs 3 lakh |
Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC | Rs 1.34 crore | Rs 1.37 crore | Rs 3.1 lakh |
Mercedes-Maybach S 680 | Rs 3.48 crore | Rs 3.60 crore | Rs 12.20 lakh |
As part of this approach, a second phase of price increases will be rolled out from September 1, 2025. This upcoming adjustment, capped at 1.5%, will apply across the model range as the company continues to respond to ongoing foreign exchange volatility.
Commenting on the update, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, stated, 'Though we have been absorbing most of the exchange rate difference to date and increasing our localisation initiatives, we are now compelled to pass on a small portion to customers.'
He pointed out that the gradual price increases, along with flexible financing solutions, are intended to make it easier for customers to manage their purchasing decisions.

To ease the burden of the price hike, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) is rolling out financing options such as lower EMIs and partial ownership through the Star Agility program. These options are designed to ensure minimal change in monthly payments. For models like the GLA and GLC, the increase in EMI is expected to be under Rs 2,000, allowing customers to continue enjoying a smooth ownership experience despite the price adjustments.
