MG Motor India has revised the pricing of two of its models – the compact Comet EV and the Gloster SUV – effective May 2025. The Gloster has become costlier by up to Rs 1.51 lakh, with the entry-level Sharp 2.0 Turbo 2WD 7-seater now retailing at Rs 41.07 lakh (ex-showroom). Other versions, including the Savvy and Blackstorm trims, have received a uniform increase of Rs 1.50 lakh, pushing the top-spec 4WD variants to Rs 46.24 lakh. The Comet EV has also seen a price adjustment. The Executive variant now starts at Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a hike of Rs 35,700. Meanwhile, the Excite and Excite FC variants are now dearer by Rs 16,000 and Rs 4,000, respectively. These revisions come as MG prepares to introduce the Majestor SUV, which will be positioned above the Gloster in its lineup.
The standard MG Comet EV runs on a rear-mounted electric motor paired with a 17.3kWh battery pack. This configuration produces 41bhp and 110Nm of torque, offering an ARAI-claimed range of up to 230 km on a full charge. The vehicle’s top speed is rated at 100km/h.
When it comes to recharging, MG provides a faster 7.4kW AC charger that can fully replenish the battery in under 3.5 hours. In contrast, the standard 3.3kW AC unit requires roughly seven hours for a complete charge from empty.

As for the Gloster SUV, it comes with two diesel engine choices. The base variant uses a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine that delivers 159bhp and 373.5Nm of torque. A more potent 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel option is also available, offering 212bhp and 478.5Nm.
Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The twin-turbo version is equipped with a 4WD system and offers seven selectable drive modes – Auto, Mud, Eco, Rock, Snow, Sand, and Sport – for versatile performance across varied terrains.
In other news, MG achieved a 23% increase in sales year-on-year for April 2025, delivering 5,829 units – 1,104 more than the 4,725 units sold in April 2024. This growth was largely driven by the Windsor EV, which has maintained its position as India’s best-selling electric vehicle for seven straight months.
