JSW MG Motor India sold 5,500 units in March 2025, showing a 9% increase from last year’s 5,050 units. The MG Windsor achieved its highest sales figures ever, becoming India's leading electric vehicle by outselling the Tata Nexon.ev. This success contributed to over 85% of MG's total sales coming from the brand’s EV lineup, which also includes the Comet and the ZS EV. Notably, electric cars accounted for 78% of the company's total sales in February 2025. In a recent development, MG opened bookings for the Cyberster and the M9 with a token amount of Rs 51,000 each.

While the exact launch dates remain undisclosed, deliveries are slated to commence in the second quarter of this year. The upcoming models will be available at MG Select dealerships in 13 major cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai.

MG launched the 2025 Comet EV with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 4.99 lakh. Buyers can also choose a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, paying Rs 2.5 per km for battery usage instead of buying it. The electrified hatch comes in five trims: Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charging. The updated EV features enhanced comfort and safety. Notable updates include a rear parking camera and power-folding ORVMs on the Excite variants, while the Fast-Charging models feature a 17.3kWh battery for a 230 km range. The Exclusive trims also come with a four-speaker audio system and leatherette upholstery.
