A sport oriented tyre from Michelin – Latitude Sport 3 – was launched in the Indian market today keeping in mind the SUVs and crossovers to provide more fun.

One of the pioneers in the tyre industry worldwide, Michelin, today introduced its latest offering – Latitude Sport 3 – in the Indian market. This range of tyres is aimed at the SUV segment by providing an uncompromising safe and silent ride. This is the third generation of Latitude Sport series in India which will provide exceptional grip on all types of surfaces. On wet roads, the tyre will stop 2.7 metres earlier than the previous generation tyre, it also has 4% improved braking in dry conditions. Michelin also claims that this tyre will increase your fuel efficiency by reducing the rolling resistance by 25%.

Made by an innovative tread compound, the tyre promises longer life and more strength than the competition. Michelin Latitude Sport 3 promises to deliver the key components that form the pillars of Michelin Total Performance, the company’s technology strategy to develop tyres capable of delivering next generation levels of performance in the key areas of safety, fuel efficiency, grip, longevity and performance.

Commenting on the new tyre, Mohan Kumar, Commercial Director, Michelin India said, “We are delighted to bring the iconic Latitude Sport 3 tyres to the Indian market at a time when demand for premium SUVs in India, is growing.  Latitude Sport 3 will cater to the tech savvy and upwardly mobile consumer, who wants a dynamic and luxury performance, with practicality of everyday use.”

To make it simpler for you, some of the cars around the world like the new Porsche Macan and BMW X5 use the Michelin Latitude Sport 3. In India, this tyre will be made available in four different sizes to cater to the widest possible selection of SUVs and CUVs like the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne among others.
