MRF has introduced a new range of tyres, called Perfinza, which will exclusively cater to the premium and luxury segment of cars. These tyres are released for India for the time being, but will eventually go global.
MRF has been continuing to invest in R&D and its 9 manufacturing facilities. The company claims that comprehensive testing - under both wet and dry conditions - was conducted in India, Germany and at the IDIADA proving ground near Barcelona, Spain for the development of the Perfinza range.
The Perfinza range of tyres is currently available for over 60 luxury and premium cars in India, and is backed by network of MRF Tiretok & T&S Showrooms across the country. These tyres feature an asymmetric tread pattern with a silica based technology.
This is indeed a step in the right direction from the Chennai based company. Luxury car penetration is surging in India already - and not all luxury car customers are willing to pay exorbitant prices for replacing factory-fitted tyres.
Having a comparatively affordable option from a reputed manufacturer like MRF might come as a relief for some. Before MRF’s Perfinza, Vredestein tyres has been providing similar solutions to luxury car owners.
