There is a change of guard in Nissan's top management in India. The Japanese manufacturer has now appointed Mr. Kenichiro Yomura as President of Nissan’s India operations. He will also hold the position of Managing Director and CEO for Nissan Motors India.

Mr Yomura will report to Toru Hasegawa, Corporate Vice President for Africa, Middle East and India, but he will be based out of the company's Chennai headquarters. According to Nissan, this change in management will accelerate strategic decision making and streamline operational efficiency to help achieve the company’s objective of securing 10% market share by 2016.

In addition and keeping its strong focus on the Indian market, Nissan has also appointed Mr. Ajay Raghuvanshi as Vice President – Business Management, and will be responsible for supporting pricing, marketing, sales and operations. Mr. Raghuvanshi has extensive work experience in the Indian automotive industry and worked with various auto majors including Hyundai, Honda, Tata Motors and Yamaha.
