According to sales data released by Ola Electric for the month of April 2023, the largest EV company in India has captured 40 per cent of the EV scooter market. Ola achieved its highest monthly sales ever in April, selling over 30,000 units, and for the eighth consecutive month, it topped the sales charts. To become the biggest EV manufacturer in India, Ola Electric outsold sales of electric scooters from Hero Electric, Ather, and Okinawa, among other scooter manufacturers. In India, Ola sells the S1, the S1 Air, and the S1 Pro electric scooters. In order to hasten the adoption of electric vehicles in India, Ola Electric began with the online retailing of scooters but is now actively enhancing its offline presence by establishing numerous Ola Experience Centres (ECs) across the nation. The company is about to open its 500th store, and by August it hopes to have opened 1,000. The Ola Electric Scooters are manufactured at the brand's Ola factory in Tamil Nadu, with the corporate headquarters in Bengaluru.
Sharing his thoughts on the brand's recent sales figures, Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola, said, “The End of ICE Age is here. The customer of today wants world-class EV products. To accelerate this momentum even further, we will continue to expand aggressively on the product front as well as ramp up our D2C network, to cater to this demand,”
