Kia India has announced that it closed April with domestic sales of 23,623 units, reflecting an 18.3% year-on-year growth over the 19,968 units sold during the same month last year. The Sonet remained the highest-selling model, with 8,068 units sold, showing a modest 2.11% year-on-year growth. Despite an 8.90% dip YoY, the Seltos held its position as the brand’s second-best-selling car with 6,135 units. The Carens followed closely, recording 5,259 units, a slight decrease of 1.30%. Making its debut on the charts, the newly introduced Syros contributed 4,000 units, while the premium Carnival Limousine rounded off the lineup with 161 units sold.
The successful launch of the Syros has been instrumental in Kia India's ongoing growth in CY'25, contributing to a 16.2% rise in sales compared to the previous year. This new model has injected significant momentum into Kia's domestic sales results.

Commenting on the sales, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Marketing, said, ‘We are pleased by the strong start to CY’25, underscored by the enduring success of the Sonet and the positive market response for the new Syros. This performance reaffirms the growing trust our customers place in Kia’s product excellence and brand promise. As we look ahead, our unwavering focus remains on delivering progressive, customer-centric mobility solutions that resonate with evolving aspirations’.
Kia India is set to unveil the Clavis on May 8, and an early teaser suggests it will be based on the Carens platform, but with more advanced features. The upcoming model is expected to include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, and a fully digital driver’s display.

While official details are still awaited, the Clavis is likely to retain proportions similar to the Carens, complemented by visual upgrades such as redesigned front and rear bumpers and new alloy wheel designs. It is expected to launch at a higher starting price than the Carens, which currently ranges from Rs 10.60 lakh to Rs 19.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
