Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives have now announced a 50:50 joint venture to develop special performance vehicles.

Tata Motors has announced the introduction of JT Special Vehicles Pvt Ltd which is a 50:50 joint venture with Jayem Automotives to develop special performance vehicles based on latest series products from Tata Motors.

The agreement between the two companies include that both Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives work in cohesion towards the development of enhancing the performance and appearance of Tata products in the passenger car segment.

JT Special Vehicles will develop a range of performance cars in a phased manner at a dedicated line in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The facility will cater to design, precision machining, assembly and testing facilities for the company all housed under one roof. These vehicles will be based on Tata Motor’s two new upcoming architectures, first of which was debuted with the TAMO Racemo.
