<p>When I took the TVS Apache RTR 310 for a spin at the Thailand Circuit Motorsport complex outside Bangkok, one thing really stuck in my mind. The <a href="https://www.autox.com/reviews/bike-reviews/tvs-apache-rtr-310-review-is-it-the-best-bmw-tvs-product-yet-114540/" target="_blank">performance and handling were super</a> impressive on the track, but I was unsure about the seat for everyday riding.</p>

<p>For those who might not know, TVS has this fancy electronic package called the Dynamic Pro Kit that you can get for the RTR 310. It comes with a six-axis IMU, which is awesome given how powerful this bike is. But then there’s the climate-controlled seat that can heat and cool, which I wasn’t too keen on. I understand that it’s intended to be helpful during extreme weather, but its current setup creates additional problems. The heating and cooling device under the seat makes it feel stiff and uncomfortable, which really isn’t great for long rides. I rode the bike to and from work for a month, and honestly, I think TVS either needs to fix this or ditch the feature in the next update.</p>

<p>On the bright side, the bike’s acceleration is always thrilling and puts a huge grin on my face. Additionally, its performance characteristics are wisely split into five different riding modes to accommodate various needs. However, the downside is the vibrations that occur as the engine revs up, particularly in the mid-range. I really hope TVS can address this issue, but it seems like it would require significant research and development. TVS Apache RTR 310 Long Term Review, December 2024 Report

The heating and cooling device under the seat of the TVS Apache RTR 310 makes it feel stiff and uncomfortable, which really isn’t great for long rides.

<p><strong>autoX Awards 2023</strong>: The youngest child of the family is often the naughtiest, and the TVS Apache RTR 310 is proof. It’s the latest 310 series motorcycle to come out of TVS and BMW’s collaboration, and from what we can tell, it’s the most thrilling and most fun motorcycle based on the platform. What’s even more interesting is that it doesn’t exude any feeling of familiarity – instead, it has a uniquely exuberant personality.</p>

<p>Even though the same 313cc engine from other TVS and BMW products powers it, the single-cylinder motor has been tweaked heavily to give the RTR 310 a more hooligan-like character.</p>

<p>The motor feels much livelier here than in any other BMW or TVS application. The fact that it runs a shorter final drive ratio makes it more eager to your throttle inputs. The performance is strong in simple words, as the throttle response is snappy and acceleration is brisk. You will also appreciate the fuelling, as the throttle never feels jerky.</p>

<p>On the flip side, the engine still suffers from vibrations, especially after 6,000rpm. And the short gearing doesn’t help this peculiar aspect of the engine either. The electronics, however, work really well, and the traction control doesn’t cut power abruptly. Simran was quite impressed with the<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/tvs/apache-rtr-310/"> RTR’s quickshifter </a>and likened it to those of bigger and more premium motorcycles. The RTR’s handling is equally delightful, making it a precise tool for hunting corners. Since it’s based on a proven platform and comes with a fully adjustable suspension, you can tweak it for both the track and the road. The brakes, however, could have been better as they don’t have enough bite.</p>

<p>The RTR’s party piece is the features it packs. It gets a full suite of electronic aids, along with some cool features. We expected the RTR to be near the top in the final scores, which it did, although it fell short only by a few points. And that’s because the fully equipped variant is quite expensive and dangerously close to the KTM 390 Duke, which offers a lot more performance and equipment for only a few thousand rupees more.</p>

<p>Let's begin with the most important aspect of a bike for many – the price. The Triumph Speed 400 is the more affordable of the two, at Rs 2.33 lakh, and comes with comparatively fewer rider aids. On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 310’s prices range from Rs 2.43 lakh to Rs 2.64 lakh. It is available in three colour options. The Dynamic kit costs Rs 18,000, whereas the Dynamic Pro kit costs Rs 22,000. Customers can also opt for Built-To-Order (BTO) kits. Those interested in the Sepang Blue colour variant will have to shell out an additional Rs 10,000. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.</p>

<p>Based on the BMW G 310 R, the TVS Apache RTR 310 is a brand-new motorcycle with a dynamic appearance that stays true to the RTR DNA.
