These bikes highlight the Italian bikemaker's commitment to performance and innovation and accommodate to the needs of different riders.&nbsp;Talking specifically about the 2025 RS 660, the bike now features winglets for improved aerodynamics, a&nbsp;&nbsp;Euro 5+ engine with more power, and the top-tier Factory edition with additional equipment. <h2>New Aprilia RS 660, RS 660 Factory: What's New?</h2>

To ensure more advanced aerodynamics,&nbsp;Aprilia has redesigned the fairing of its massively popular sportbike, leveraging on concepts from its MotoGP project.&nbsp;A massive wing is now mounted beneath the windshield, coupled with two smaller aerodynamic appendages that improve airflow penetration and high-speed stability.&nbsp;While maintaining the double-layer structure,&nbsp;the updated side fairings now include an integrated aerodynamic appendage.&nbsp;

For 2025, Aprilia has also offered extensive onboard electronics with the bike, including a larger five-inch full-colour display and new handlebar controls with backlighting.&nbsp;Additionally, the new RS660's Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) now has launch control. As before, the bike comes with&nbsp;cruise control,&nbsp;multi-level traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and cornering ABS. It also retains&nbsp;an electronic Ride-by-Wire throttle and a six-axis inertial platform (standard).&nbsp;

On the mechanical front, the bike's 660cc parallel-twin engine is now&nbsp;Euro 5+ compliant.&nbsp;Owing to larger 52mm throttle bodies (up from 48mm), the unit generates about 5bhp more at 105bhp.

The addition of a new factory version is the biggest change for the RS 660 moniker.&nbsp;The RS 660 Factory features modern Ohlins suspension,&nbsp;including the 43 mm NIX 30 series fork and STX 46 shock absorber with an integrated reservoir. Both have fully adjustable hydraulic rebound and compression damping, as well as spring preload.&nbsp;The new version distinguishes itself further with new graphics and a dual-tone seat.

The 2025 Aprilia RS 660 benefits from a Euro 5+ engine with more power, and the top-tier Factory edition with additional equipment, and winglets for improved aerodynamics. It gets two colour options: Venom Yellow and Blue Marlin.

Aprilia has unveiled the RS 660 Trofeo for international markets. Production of the motorcycle will be limited to a few units in the U.S. market, according to the company's announcement. The limited-run RS 660 Trofeo will be priced at Rs 17.20 lakh ($ 21,000) (ex-showroom). It is based on the street-legal RS 660 platform and is meant for race use only. The race-ready RS 660 Trofeo sits below the Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta, which is a high-performance hyper-naked bike equipped with rear and underwings. The recently unveiled RS 660 Trofeo weighs 153kgs and gets fibreglass race bodywork. The engine of the track-spec RS 660 Trofeo has been improved to increase the power output to 105bhp.&nbsp;

<h2>Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Engine details</h2>

In terms of the powertrain, the Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo uses a 660cc inline twin-cylinder engine and a full titanium SC-Project exhaust system. The engine, which has been tweaked by Aprilia Racing, is good enough to generate 105bhp of maximum power. The company has removed the backup air system and thermostat, and the clutch cover and alternator have aluminium guards. On offer is also a Sprint Filter air filter. &nbsp; &nbsp;

<h2>Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Hardware and Chassis</h2>

The suspension setup of the new <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/new-aprilia-typhoon-vespa-scooters-to-launch-soon-in-india-112456/">Aprilia</a> RS 660 Trofeo includes Andreani upside-down forks at the front and Öhlins AP948 shock absorbers at the rear. It helps with preload, compression, and rebound damping adjustment. The 17-inch wheels come wrapped in Pirelli Supercorsa V3 SC1 tyres, and the motorcycle gets Brembo brakes. The RS 660 Trofeo has a kerb weight of 153kgs.&nbsp;

The RS 660 Trofeo gets a new steering yoke and adjustable semi-handlebars. Besides, the bike has a lower riding position, a racing triple clamp for clip-on adjustment, and adjustable rearsets.&nbsp;

<h2>Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Features, Availability</h2>

The new Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo comes with an upgraded electrical system, which includes traction control, wheelie control, and engine braking adjustability. Starting today, the bike will be available for purchase through its official website. &nbsp;

Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo Unveiled with 105bhp; Weighs 153kg

The Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo uses a 660cc, inline twin-cylinder engine that is coupled with a full titanium SC-Project exhaust system. The engine has been improved to increase the power output to 105bhp.

2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 is priced at Rs 13.09 lakh, while the fully-faired RS 660 is priced at Rs 13.39 lakh. Bookings for both have commenced at a minimum amount of Rs 2 lakh, and deliveries will start from June 2021.

Highly anticipated Aprilia Tuono 660 and the RS 660 have been launched in India for ex-showroom prices&nbsp;of Rs 13.09 lakh and Rs 13.39 lakh, respectively. This translates to an on-road (Maharashtra) price of Rs 16.58 lakh for the Tuono 660 and Rs 16.95 lakh for the RS 660.

Bookings have commenced at a minimum amount of Rs 2 lakh, however, customers will need to pay 50 per cent of the ex-showroom price to place the order. Only 10 units of each have been allocated to the Indian market, but the next batch is expected to follow soon. The deliveries will commence in the month of June 2021.

The Aprilia RS 660 is powered by a 659cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, which is derived from the RSV4 1100’s V4 engine. The parallel-twin unit has a 270-degree firing order. While the power plant is the same for both motorcycles, the state of tune is different. The Tuono 660 produces 93.7 bhp and 67Nm of peak torque, while the RS 660 churns out 98.6bhp at 10,500rpm&nbsp;and 67Nm at 8,500rpm. Both the motorcycles come equipped with a six-speed gearbox.

Even though the Tunono 660 has fewer body panels than the RS,&nbsp;both the motorcycles have a kerb weight of 183kgs. Also, they come with features like Six-axis Inertia Management Unit based Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Cruise Control, Cornering ABS, and five riding modes (Road and Track, 3 pre-set, and 2 customisable).

For suspension duties, both the Tunono 660 and the RS 660 get fully-adjustable Upside Down Forks with 120mm travel. The rear suspension is fully adjustable as well with 130mmm of travel. Upfront, both the motorcycles get a 320mm twin-disc setup, while the rear gets a 220mm single-disc unit.

2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 and RS 660 India pricing revealed

2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 priced at Rs 13.09 lakh while the fully-faired RS 660 is priced at Rs 13.39 lakh, which is a premium of Rs 30,000. Bookings have commenced for a minimum amount of Rs 2 lakh and deliveries to start from June 2021

The Aprilia RS 660 is all set to infuse life into the dying 600cc supersport segment, as it's only days away from its global debut.&nbsp;

The 600cc Supersport segment is a vanishing&nbsp;space, for there're not many players in it. Those&nbsp;that have tried to breathe some life into this segment lately include a handful of names, such as the updated versions of the Kawasaki ZX-6R, Yamaha R6, or the very limited-edition Triumph Daytona 765. However, Aprilia is now going to rejuvenate the segment with an all-new motorcycle. The motorcycle has been officially confirmed, and it’s coming to the EICMA 2019 that’s just around the corner!

The bike in question here is the RS 660. Now, last year, Aprilia showcased the concept of this bike at the very same venue. However, over the last 12 months, Aprilia engineers have turned it into a reality and the production model is now ready. Aprilia is keeping all the details close to its chest at the moment – obviously! – but the company is doing its bit to ‘tease’ motorcycle enthusiasts in the&nbsp;buildup to the official unveiling. As a result, they’ve just released a dimly lit&nbsp;image, revealing the silhouette of the bike. From what we can tell, the production version is sticking to the sharp and sleek profile of the concept, which is good news. Plus, given the fact that it’s an Aprilia, you can rest assured that it’s going to be a thing of beauty.

But what lies underneath? At the moment, details are sparse, but it’s believed to be a twin-cylinder 660cc engine that’s derived from the 1,078cc V4 motor, which powers the firm’s heavyweight litre-class motorcycle, the RSV4 1100. The power output of the RS 660 is going to be in the range of 100 – 110bhp, although this is purely speculative at the moment. What’s more, the motorcycle is also expected to debut with active aero winglets, which, if true, will make it the first production motorcycle to feature such technology. Also, expect the motorcycle to come loaded with a raft of electronic riding aids.

More details will be out when Aprilia drops the veil on the RS 660 at EICMA 2019 next week. So, stay tuned…
