<p>Aston Martin has debuted a highly limited, track-exclusive version of the Valkyrie hypercar, timed just ahead of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. Developed specifically for non-competitive use, this variant – dubbed the Valkyrie LM – borrows extensively from the brand’s endurance racing machine that competes in both the FIA WEC and IMSA WeatherTech Championship. While it is not homologated for racing, it maintains much of the same engineering and performance DNA. Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport, emphasised that the LM edition is virtually identical to the race-spec car, with only minor alterations made to ensure it is suitable for customers and track-day use.</p><h2>Aston Martin Valkyrie LM: Mechanical Setup</h2><p>The Valkyrie LM delivers performance nearly identical to its competition-spec counterpart, but with subtle refinements. At its core is a recalibrated version of the iconic Cosworth-built 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine. Instead, an open-loop system has been adopted to deliver a more intuitive and driver-friendly throttle response. <br><br>Power continues to be routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters, ensuring rapid gear changes. The suspension system remains race-bred with double wishbones front and rear, pushrod-actuated torsion bar springs, and adjustable central and side dampers.</p><h2>Aston Martin Valkyrie LM: Interior Layout</h2><p>The cockpit has been designed with a strong focus on safety, visibility, and ease of access. It includes a bespoke carbon-fibre racing seat that offers integrated shoulder support and padded headrest surrounds. The hypercar also features a custom user interface tailored specifically for non-competitive track environments.</p><p>

The steering wheel also integrates a driver information display along with shift indicator lights for added functionality.</p><h2>“Fly In and Drive” Programme: What Is It?</h2><p>Aston Martin is offering Valkyrie LM buyers a choice between traditional ownership and an exclusive, concierge-style “fly in and drive” programme. This premium service removes the usual complexities of track-day preparation – owners can simply arrive at a pre-selected circuit to find their car fully prepped and fine-tuned to endurance racing standards, mirroring the setup precision of a WEC event.</p><p>

  <br>To further personalise the experience, the programme includes access to advanced racing simulators, coaching from seasoned professional drivers, and detailed performance feedback via telemetry systems. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, followed by two curated, fully supported track experiences at Formula One-grade circuits in the UK, included as part of Aston Martin’s high-end ‘Unleashed’ driving programme later that year.</p>
