Mahindra has ambitious plans for an electrified future in India, with vehicles such as the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and BE.05, all of which currently undergoing testing. Following the XUV.e9, the BE.05 is now spotted on our roads, providing a first glimpse at the interior, which appears to be identical to the concept. The space between the driver and passenger seats is highlighted with a bronze finish, giving the sense of a cockpit. The concept's dial remains in the central console. <h2>Mahindra BE.05: Other Highlights</h2>

The upcoming electric vehicle may include an aggressively angled bonnet, sharp LED daytime running lights (DRLs), alloy wheels with five spokes, and rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) as possible exterior design features. Inside, you can expect the vehicle to get amenities like electrically adjustable front seats, a standalone touchscreen infotainment system, fabric door handles, and a fully digital meter panel.

Mahindra has not disclosed any information about the powertrain. Market reports, however, suggest that the electrified SUV will have a 60kWh battery pack and a range of roughly 450 kilometres on a single charge. The battery is expected to charge from 5% to 80% in only 30 minutes. The BE.05 will presumably have two-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive available only for higher-spec variants.

According to market reports, the electric Mahindra BE.05 SUV will go on sale in India around October 2025, with an expected price tag of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

<h2>Mahindra Sales April 2024</h2>

Mahindra delivered a total of 7,0471 units (including exports) in April 2024, a 13% increase from the previous year. It supplied 41,008 cars locally, representing an 18% increase over the 34,694 units sold during the same period last year. In terms of exports, the company witnessed a small 2% YoY increase, with 1,857 units shipped. For reference, it exported 1,813 units in April 2023. The company attributed the success to multiple models, including the Bolero and the Bolero Neo, the XUV700, the XUV300, the XUV400, the Thar, the Scorpio-N, and the Scorpio Classic.
