<p>Citroen C3 was introduced&nbsp;in the country&nbsp;last year. However, the car lacked some features. To fill that void, the French auto manufacturer&nbsp;has now rolled out the new Citroen C3 Shine, the top-tier variant of the hatchback with new features, starting at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom). Some of these new features are segment exclusives.&nbsp;A 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, for instance, will be one of the new features in the car. The new variant also comes with dual-tone paint schemes as well. With a starting price of Rs 7.60 lakh, the Citroen C3 Shine is the most affordable model. In contrast, the Citroen C3 Shine Vibe Pack and the Citroen C3 Shine dual-tone cost Rs 7.72 lakh and Rs 7.75 lakh, respectively. Last but not least, the retail price of the Citroen C3 Shine dual-tone with Vibe Pack model is Rs 7.87 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Citroen C3 Shine: New Features</h2>

<p>The additional features included in the new variant comprise electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, day/night IRVM, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear wiper and washer, rear skid plates, and a rear defogger. Further, with the My Citroen Connect app, it has 35 connectivity features and Connectivity 1.0 preinstalled. Also, the Citroen C3 line now complies with RDE norms and BS 6 Phase 2 standards.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The car also has hill-hold control, electronic stability control (ESC), engine auto start/stop, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for safety.</p>

<h2>Citroen C3 Shine: Engine and Gearbox</h2>

<p>The new C3 Shine by Citroen&nbsp;is equipped with a 1.2-litre&nbsp;3-cylinder petrol engine that comes in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. While the latter produces 109bhp of maximum power&nbsp;and 190Nm of peak torque&nbsp;when connected to a 6-speed manual, the former delivers a maximum power output of&nbsp;80bhp&nbsp;and 115Nm of torque&nbsp;when used with a 5-speed MT.</p>

<h2>Citroen C3 Shine: Market Rivals</h2>

<p>The C3 is now a more competitive alternative to models like the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and the Tata Tiago thanks to the updated variant and features. Moreover, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Hyundai i20, and the Tata Altroz are premium hatchback rivals of the car, as are sub-4-metre SUVs like the Renault Kiger, the Nissan Magnite, and the&nbsp;Maruti Suzuki Fronx.</p>

The C3 Shine has been launched by Citroen in India. It is available in four trim levels: 1.2P Shine, 1.2P Shine Vibe Pack, 1.2P Shine Dual Tone, and 1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The 1.2P Shine trim costs Rs 7.60 lakh while the 1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack costs Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom).

<p>Citroen has launched the C3 Shine in the Indian market. The Citroen C3 Shine is offered in 4 different versions – the 1.2P Shine,&nbsp;1.2P Shine Vibe Pack,&nbsp;1.2P Shine Dual Tone, and&nbsp;1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The prices of the car&nbsp;start at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.2P Shine trim and go up to Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the&nbsp;1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack variant. Also, the newly launched C3 Shine complies with stricter BS6 Phase II or RDE (real driving emission) norms. It is positioned above the 1.2P Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack trim. In the Indian market, the car locks horns with the Tata Punch and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.</p>

<p>The Citroen C3 Shine is only offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated BS6 Phase II-compliant petrol engine, which produces 81bhp of power and 115Nm of peak torque through a 5-speed manual transmission.</p>
