<p>The Amaze differentiates itself with a bold, wide grille inspired by the Honda Accord. For comparison, the City sports a more elegant and streamlined grille.&nbsp;While the Amaze's headlights take cues from the City's design, its LED DRLs are more in line with those found on the Honda Elevate, giving a distinct, contemporary edge.</p>

<p>The redesigned Amaze appears as a more compact iteration of the City when viewed from the side. &nbsp;The latter’s greater length—spanning over 4 metres—lends it a more poised and aerodynamic presence, enhancing its overall sophistication and road stance.&nbsp;Both the cars have the same multi-spoke dual-tone alloys, but the sizes are different. For reference, the Amaze has 15-inch wheels, while the City has larger 16-inch wheels, with a different design.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The stylish chrome-finished door handles and body-coated outside rearview mirrors with inbuilt turn indicators are found in both models.&nbsp;Following the recent update, the Amaze has also gained the LaneWatch camera, placed below the left ORVM. This is already available in the City sedan. With its shark-fin antenna and wraparound LED taillights,&nbsp;the Amaze's rear end resembles that of the Honda City. The bumper, however, has a more distinct appearance.</p>

<p>Although the interior of both sedans is black and beige, the dashboard design is different. The Amaze has a more modern appearance because of its floating 8-inch touchscreen and rectangular AC vents.&nbsp;In contrast, the City has a touchscreen unit that is built into the dashboard. It also gets vertically oriented AC vents.</p>

<p>The Amaze comes equipped with a PM2.5 cabin air filter, a wireless phone charger, a 7-inch semi-digital driver's display (also found in the City), and remote engine start/stop.&nbsp;The City, on the other hand, has an 8-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, and a single-pane electric sunroof.&nbsp;The Amaze misses out on the single-pane sunroof. However, both cars are packed with amenities&nbsp;like advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a rearview camera, and six airbags (standard) for safety.</p>

<p>The most significant difference lies in the powertrains. The Amaze is powered by a smaller 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine,&nbsp;while the City comes with a larger 1.5-litre 4-cylinder N/A petrol unit. The Amaze produces 89bhp and 110Nm, whereas the City delivers a more powerful 119bhp and 145Nm.&nbsp;</p>

Honda Cars India Year-on-Year Domestic Sales Dip by 42.67% in November

Honda exported 5,721 cars in November 2024, representing an 80.99% increase over the 3,161 vehicles shipped in the same month last year.

<p>Honda is providing significant discounts on its entire lineup in India, including the Amaze, City, and Elevate.&nbsp;The Amaze offers the greatest discount of up to Rs 1.26 lakh on the top-spec VX variant.&nbsp;The base-spec E and mid-spec S models, on the other hand, are available with savings of up to Rs 86,200 and Rs 96,200 respectively.&nbsp;Currently, the Amaze costs between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 9.96 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;It is scheduled to receive a substantial facelift on December 4, 2024, which could command a large premium due to extensive features and aesthetic upgrades. Honda Amaze, City and More Get Discounts of up to Rs 1.26 Lakh in November

While the fifth-generation Honda City offers savings of up to Rs 1.07 lakh, the Amaze has the largest discount, up to Rs 1.26 lakh.

<p>Honda has recalled 90,468 cars in India to replace a defective fuel pump. The recall also covers 2,204 additional units of older models&nbsp;in which the fuel pump had already been replaced as a spare part.&nbsp;According to the manufacturer,&nbsp;the fuel pumps in the affected models could have faulty impellers,&nbsp;which over time may cause the engine to stop or fail to start.</p>

<p>The recall will begin phase-wise on November 5, with free parts replacements available at all approved dealerships.&nbsp;The company will contact the owners of the impacted cars individually. Read on for more details.</p>

<p>The recall affects models such as the Amaze (18,851 units), BR-V (4,386 units), Brio (3,317 units), Jazz (16,744 units), City (32,872 units), and&nbsp;WR-V (14,298 units).&nbsp;These models&nbsp;were manufactured between September 2017 and June 2018.</p>

<h2>Honda Recall:&nbsp;How to Check?</h2>

<p>Customers can visit the Product Update/Recall page&nbsp;through the Service tab on the Honda Cars India website and enter their vehicle's VIN to see if their vehicle is impacted by the recall.&nbsp;Additionally, customers can verify the recall details of their vehicle&nbsp;at the Honda dealership if they may have purchased the fuel pump assembly from an authorized dealership between June 2017 and October 2023 through over-the-counter sales.</p>

<h2>Global Recall</h2>

<p>Honda voluntarily recalled almost 7.2 lakh cars in the US, including the Accord and Civic (built between 2023 and 2025)&nbsp;due to a malfunctioning high-pressure fuel pump.&nbsp;According to the manufacturer, a defective high-pressure fuel pump core could cause internal cracks&nbsp;in the fuel pump. In addition to raising the chance of fuel leaks and odors when driving or idling, these fissures have the potential to spread while a vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of fire, collision, or injury.&nbsp;As of the recall statement, the company has not yet received any confirmed complaints of crashes or injuries.</p>

<p>According to Honda, registered owners of all impacted vehicles&nbsp;will receive a letter in December asking them to bring their cars in for a free inspection at an authorized dealer. The dealer will replace the high-pressure fuel pump for free if damage is found.</p>


Honda Cars India Recalls Over 90,000 Cars to Replace Faulty Fuel Pump

The most recent Honda recall affects models (manufactured between September 2017 and June 2018) such as the Amaze, Brio, BR-V, and City.

<p>Honda sold 10,867 vehicles in April 2024, registering a 42% increase over the 7,676 units delivered the year before. It delivered 4,351 PVs (passenger vehicles) in the domestic market, which is a decline of 18.10% from the previous year's 5,313 units.&nbsp;The automaker, on the other hand, exported 6,516 units last month, a staggering increase of 175.5% YoY. It shipped only 2,363 units in April of the previous year. The Elevate SUV was one of the main reasons for the significant increase in exports.</p>

<p>Commenting on the sales,&nbsp;Kunal Behl, Vice President, of Marketing &amp; Sales, at Honda Cars India Ltd. said 'Our planned production volumes in April were lower due to the switchover of Elevate and City production to six-airbag standard variants and the dispatches were aligned accordingly. On the other hand, export of Elevate continues to significantly boost HCIL export volume which grew by 175% over the same period last year.'</p>

<h2>Honda P7, S7, and GT Concept Electric Ye Series</h2>

<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/honda/">Honda</a> took the wraps off the first three vehicles from its brand-new 'Ye Series', <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/honda-p7-s7-and-gt-concept-electric-ye-series-unveiled-ahead-of-auto-china-2024-116874/">the P7, S7, and GT Concept</a>, for the international market.
