Formula E: The Briton Oliver Rowland has signed up with Nissan for the upcoming 2023-24 ABB FIA Formula E&nbsp;World Championship, replacing Norman Nato in the Japanese manufacturer's driver line-up. Rowland&nbsp;will be joining teammate Sacha Fenestraz, who was retained by the Nissan Formula E team following his first full campaign in the ninth season of&nbsp;Formula E. Antonio Giovinazzi's replacement Sacha&nbsp;clinched a maiden pole position in the fifth round of the 2023 Cape Town E-Prix and went on to even claim&nbsp;the fastest Formula E lap of all time in South Africa. Additionally, he also set the fastest lap of the race in Monaco and regularly fought at the front of the field. The 24-year-old finished 16th in the drivers' standings in season 9.

<h2>Oliver Rowland: A Switch from Mahindra to Nissan</h2>

Oliver Rowland rejoins Nissan after he made a switch to Mahindra Racing in 2022 driving alongside Alexander Sims. Rowland was commissioned&nbsp;to replace Alex Albon on the team, however, he struggled with a subpar package, finishing the year with a single podium in Seoul.&nbsp;As Formula E moved to new regulations, results declined further in the same year and, following a 2023 Monaco E-Prix which left him with a bruised hand after a collision, he was replaced at the Mahindra Formula E team with immediate effect by ex-Formula 1 driver Roberto Merhi. At the harbourside chicane, Rowland collided with Edoardo Mortara's Maserati, resulting in an injured hand. Besides,&nbsp;he was disillusioned by the lack of competitiveness of the Mahindra M9Electro.

<h2>Oliver Rowland: His Past Stint with Nissan</h2>

Rowland made his Formula E debut in the 2015 Punta del Este E-Prix.&nbsp;He joined the Nissan Formula E team as a rookie in 2018, the same year the Japanese manufacturer made its Formula E debut. During his time with Nissan, he raced between Season 5 and Season 7 and claimed&nbsp;five pole positions &amp; five podiums, including his&nbsp;victory in&nbsp;Round&nbsp;10 of Season 6 in Berlin in 2020.&nbsp;The British racing driver&nbsp;has a wealth of expertise in Formula E, taking the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 Series title and a third-place finish in the 2017 FIA Formula 2 Championship.&nbsp;

The latest announcement by Nissan marked a 'bit of homecoming' for Oliver Rowland, who spent three seasons racing for the Formula E&nbsp;Nissan team. On this occasion, he remarked, "I'm really excited, it’s a bit of a homecoming for me, back to the place I started my Formula E journey and somewhere I had a lot of success. The team has been on a great trajectory over the last year, with performances improving. I’m confident Sacha and I will make a strong pairing, he showed incredible speed in his first season. I’m looking forward to getting back to work, ready to go, and can’t wait to see what we can do as a team."

With 17 races planned, including the first-ever E-Prix in Tokyo on the 30th of March 2024, Season 10 of Formula E will be the most competitive in Formula E history. Prior to the opening round of the championship&nbsp;in Mexico City on January 13, 2024, pre-season testing will take place in Valencia from October 23 to October 27.

Formula E: The first preliminary 2024 Formula E season race schedule was released, and it includes Tokyo. There are still three race destinations up in the air, but the schedule contains no mention of returning to India at this time. In the current ninth season of Formula E, India hosted its first-ever race in Hyderabad in the month of February. The promoters have not yet announced the sites for the next events on February 10 and 24, as well as the one scheduled for late May 2024. The tenth season is scheduled to begin in January 2024, with the first race happening in Mexico City, Mexico, and the second taking place that night in Saudi Arabia. On March 30, 2024, Tokyo, Japan will host the series' seventh round race for the first time. <h2>Formula E: 2024 Season 10 Provisional Calendar</h2>

After a successful, sold-out season opener in Season 9, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will return to Mexico City on Saturday, January 13.

While advanced talks are still ongoing with a variety of possible host cities, Formula E has left three rounds of the 17-race provisional schedule as To Be Determined (TBD). This would allow the championship to construct additional showcase racing events in renowned worldwide locales.

<h2>Formula E: Tokyo Confirmed</h2>

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, the city of Tokyo will host the first-ever FIA-sanctioned world championship racing event. At the Tokyo Big Sight convention centre on the waterfront of Tokyo Bay, twenty-two drivers from eleven teams will compete in a race using the cutting-edge GEN3 race vehicle, the fastest, lightest, most powerful, most efficient electric race car ever produced.

“We are excited to take Formula E to the streets of Tokyo next season," said Alberto Longo, Co-Founder &amp; Chief Championship Officer, Formula E. The Season 10 calendar represents our ongoing mission to create a dynamic schedule of new cities hosting races for the first or second time like Tokyo, São Paulo and Portland alongside established hosts like Berlin, Rome, London, Monaco, Diriyah and now Jakarta.”&nbsp;

As part of the Zero Emission Tokyo goal, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Formula E have been collaborating to bring the event to the city. The city has committed to a climate action plan with the goal of producing zero net CO2 emissions by the year 2050.

Formula E: 2024 Provisional Calendar Revealed, India Round Unconfirmed Despite Four-Year Agreement

Formula E: After a sold-out Season 9 opener, Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will start in Mexico City on Saturday, January 13. Out of the total of 17 races in the tentative schedule, three are yet unannounced.

Formula E Hyderabad e-Prix: The new all-electric Jaguar I-TYPE 6 Gen3 racer is going to make its debut in Round 4 of the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, scheduled to be held on February 11 in Hyderabad. Unveiled by Jaguar TCS Racing in December last year, the new Formula E race car will compete at the first-ever 2023 Greenko Hyderabad e-Prix. Hyderabad has been selected as one of the four brand-new race locations for Season 9 of 2023 Formula E. The event will take place at a 2.83km long street circuit by the heart-shaped Hussain Sagar Lake. The all-electric World Championship will include 32 laps of the street circuit. Moreover, 2023 will also mark the racing debut of the Gen3 car, the world's first net zero race car.

‘Ever since the 2023 race calendar was announced, Hyderabad has been one of the tracks that the whole team has been looking forward to. Formula E will have a total of 11 teams. Of these, 10 teams will have two race cars, with one driver each. Jaguar TCS's Mitch Evans and Sam Bird have stood at fifth in the teams' standings after positive performances at the Diriyah double-header Formula E in January 2023. In round 3 of the World Championship, Mitch and Sam lined up seventh and fourth on the grid respectively.

<a href="https://www.autox.com/motorsport-news/jaguar-unveils-the-new-gen3-formula-e-racer-111914/">Jaguar</a> TCS's drivers will come together for a third consecutive season. Both Mitch and Sam strive to score further points and podiums in the fourth round of the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E. ‘I am really pleased with my performance in Diriyah, securing a podium and the fastest lap across the double-header weekend. I am taking that confidence and channelling it into motivation to do even better in round four in India. Hyderabad is going to be such a big race for the whole team, and I'm ready to put on a show,’ said Sam Bird, Jaguar TCS Racing driver.

During season 8 of the Championship in 2022, Mitch secured second place in the drivers' standings, while Sam finished thirteenth overall. Jaguar TCS Racing finished fourth in the teams' standings with a score of 231 points, seven podiums, four wins, one pole position, and one fastest lap.

Jaguar TCS Racing is the first luxury manufacturer that joins the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship street racing series. The official manufacturer team is said to design its own powertrain, including the motor, transmission, inverter, and rear suspension. Given that the brand is planning to make a transition to an all-electric luxury brand in 2025, the debut of the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 at Formula E will be a significant step in that direction.

The Jaguar I-TYPE 6 Gen3 is the first race car that comes with both front and rear powertrains, with a 335bhp regen motor at the front and a 469bhp regen motor at the rear, thereby eliminating the need for traditional rear brakes. With a claimed top speed of 321km/h, the new Jaguar race car gets Carbon Black, Satin White, and Gold accents.
