The F77 MACH 2 has become the first Indian electric motorcycle to receive certification under the stringent United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) regulations. This certification allows the F77 MACH 2 to be legally ridden on roads in over 40 countries, including all member states of the European Union.</p>


EICMA 2024: Top India-Bound Motorcycles to Watch Out For

EICMA, the world's largest motorcycle and bicycle trade show, will host the unveiling of several new models from Indian manufacturers this year in Milan, Italy.

<p>The EICMA 2024 will kick off next week in Milan, Italy, with the press days scheduled for November 5-6. It will head to the conclusion on the 10th of the next month, the last public day of the exhibition. Hero MotoCorp and its Vida sub-brand will be attending the upcoming EICMA, and going by the latest teaser video on social media, Hero&nbsp;will unveil&nbsp;four two-wheelers including the new Vida electric scooter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the models in question are hiding in the shadows&nbsp;– which limits what we can see&nbsp;– one of them is believed to be the Hero Xpulse 210.&nbsp;Teased last week, the new Xpulse 210 ADV will likely replace the&nbsp;Xpulse 200 4V (Rs 1.47 lakh, ex-showroom) sold in India and will command a premium over the latter. While yet to be confirmed, the Xpulse 210 is expected to get&nbsp;a more powerful 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which might make a difference in its performance. The liquid-cooled engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox, powers the&nbsp;Karizma XMR&nbsp;–&nbsp;25bhp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm of peak torque&nbsp;at 7,250rpm, for your reference. Other expected bits on the new Xpulse&nbsp;include revised styling, new chassis, long-travel suspension, and dual-purpose tyres.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking of the&nbsp;Karizma XMR, Hero recently filed a design patent for the updated version of the Karizma XMR. Likely to be called the&nbsp;Karizma XMR 250, the patent image reveals a revised fairing and fuel tank design, along with&nbsp;an upside-down front suspension setup. Hero's&nbsp;new 250cc liquid-cooled motor could be plonked into the&nbsp;upcoming Karizma. We expect Hero to display this&nbsp;more powerful&nbsp;Karizma XMR 250 at the motor show.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;Hero 2.5R Xtunt is also expected at the EICMA 2024. Per the most recent&nbsp;patent image, the&nbsp;2.5R Xtunt will be the naked version of the&nbsp;Karizma XMR 250. The naked bike is expected to feature angular cowls, a low-slung headlight, and tubular handlebars, among other things. The engine could be the same as the&nbsp;updated Karizma.</p>

<p>The fourth model on the list might be an electric&nbsp;scooter&nbsp;from Vida. It could be either a new variant of the existing V1 scooter or a completely new EV.&nbsp;The brand currently offers&nbsp;the V1 in two variants&nbsp;– Pro and Plus. The V1 ranges from Rs 1.03 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).&nbsp;</p>

<p>As far as the Indian market goes, the said&nbsp;models could make their way here sometime in 2025. But, we do not expect them before the launch of the&nbsp;new Destini 125. The Hero Xpulse 210 adventure tourer is expected to get a more powerful 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine that powers the Karizma XMR.

<p>At the ongoing EICMA 2023, Moto Morini,&nbsp;the Italian motorcycle brand, has pulled the wraps off a variety of models spanning different displacements. These include&nbsp;the Corsaro, Corsaro Sport, Milano, and the X-Cape, all of whom are powered by a liquid-cooled V-Twin EVO engine. The first two are middleweight bikes that&nbsp;come with&nbsp;a new 750cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine. Although the company has yet to disclose power and torque figures, it says that the Corsaro 750 is an 'engineering and power masterpiece' that pays tribute to the brand's tradition and future. Both the Corsaro 750 and the Corsa Sport&nbsp;deploy a unique blend of steel tubes and aluminium twin-spar construction. Common&nbsp;features&nbsp;include fully adjustable suspension, Brembo Stylema callipers, 17-inch cast aluminium wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 rubber, as well as&nbsp;a hydraulic clutch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, what makes these two motorcycles stand out from each other is their styling&nbsp;– one is a naked streetfighter&nbsp;and the other is a fully faired bike.</p>

<h2>Moto Morini Milano,&nbsp;X-Cape: Engine and Other Details</h2>

<p>Coming to the other two&nbsp;on the list, the Milano and the X-Cape get a 1,187cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine, reflecting a rebirth of the 1,200cc V-Twin motor designed by Franco Lambertini, Chiel Project Engineer. Power and torque figures are awaited, however, the motorcycles are expected to produce about 116bhp and 104Nm of peak torque, similar to that of the Granspasso 1200 adventure series motorcycle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Design-wise, the Milano, which made its first appearance at the EICMA 2023, sports a similar&nbsp;modern-retro bodywork as the&nbsp;Seiemmezzo models. The design is complemented by the&nbsp;double-barrel exhaust and header pipes. Also on offer is a TFT display and 4 riding modes. On the other hand, the X-Cape 1200 features a split radiator, cruise control, and Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tyres.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Moto Morini Calibro: Hardware, Engine</h2>

<p>Featured along with the said&nbsp;models was the new&nbsp;Calibro 650.&nbsp;Positioned as the closest rival to the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, the Calibro 650 is a cruiser-styled bike with a round headlight with a fairing around it, a svelte fuel tank measuring 15 litres, a small smoked visor, a scooped-out split-styled seat setup, a semi-digital instrument console, and a relaxed rider triangle.</p>

<p>Unlike the&nbsp;Seiemmezzo and X-Cape, the&nbsp;Moto Morini Calibro 650 uses telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. As a result, the 650cc motorcycle has an accessible seat height of 720mm.&nbsp;Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of discs on both ends, featuring J.Juan callipers. The Royal Enfield&nbsp;Super Meteor 650-rivalling Calibro 650 rides on 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels with road-focused tyres.</p>

<p>Powering the cruiser is the same&nbsp;649cc parallel-twin motor as found on&nbsp;Moto Morini's other bikes. Nestled in a tubular frame, this&nbsp;motor mated to a 6-speed gearbox&nbsp;cranks out 59bhp. The torque figure is yet to be made public. For reference, the parallel-twin unit on the&nbsp;X-Cape adventure bike and the Seiemmezzo Scrambler delivers&nbsp;54Nm.&nbsp;</p>
