Now, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has published a few homologation certification images on its website that reveal the upcoming MPV's exterior design for the first time, and we must say, it looks nearly identical to the Geely-owned Zeekr 009 that debuted last year. Based on the Chinese automaker's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) electric vehicle platform, the Zeekr 009 minivan is equipped with dual electric motors offering four-wheel-drive and making a combined 536bhp –&nbsp;sufficient for a 0 to 100km/h time of 4.5 seconds. Coming back to the Volvo EM90, the luxury vehicle is set to be officially revealed on November 12, 2023. It will be manufactured in&nbsp;Zhejiang, China.</p>

Apart from this, the Swedish manufacturer will offer the all-wheel-drive setup as found on the Zeekr. Volvo's minivan gets a claimed top speed of 180km/h.</p>

<p>While the battery specifications are yet to be revealed, a larger 140 kWh CATL Qilin battery pack found on the Zeekr could make its way into the EM90. This&nbsp;battery unit is good for an 882km range (CLTC).&nbsp;A smaller 116-kWh pack with a range of 702km&nbsp;is also available.</p>

2024 Volvo EM90 EV Exterior Design Revealed Ahead of November Debut

Based on Geely's SEA electric vehicle platform, the Volvo EM90 is set to make its global debut on November 12, 2023. The luxury vehicle will be manufactured in Zhejiang, China.

<p>In November of this year, Volvo plans to pull covers from the all-electric MPV for the global market. Although the official introduction is yet to happen, the carmaker has given a sneak peek of the EV. In the recent teaser, Volvo displayed the top view of the upcoming model, which includes a dual sunroof with a smaller portion in front and a larger unit in the back. <p>On the EM90, you could see T-shaped taillights, folding back doors, and a dual sunroof with a smaller one up front and a larger one in the back. Additionally, individual chairs in the middle row can be seen through the back windscreen. In its press statement, the automaker states that ''The Volvo EM90 is our first ever fully electric premium MPV, and is designed for you to make the most of the time spent in the car, like a Scandinavian living room on the move.''</p>

<p>Even though there hasn't been a formal announcement, industry reports suggest that the new model will be built on the same platform as the Zeekr 009 MPV. For those unaware, Geely is the company that owns Volvo, and Zeekr is a part of Geely. The 009 is supported by the same Geely Group SEA platform that also powers a variety of other Geely brand vehicles, including the recently released Polestar 4 and the forthcoming Polestar 5.</p>

<p>Mechanically, the Volvo C40 Recharge is built on the compact modular architecture (CMA) platform. For the all-wheel drive version in India, there will be a 78kWh (gross) battery pack and a 245.5bhp motor on the back axle, as well as a 157bhp motor on the front axle. The electric motors can produce a maximum power output of 402bhp and 660Nm of peak torque when working together. According to WLTP standards, this AWD variant has a range of 530 kilometers on a single charge.
