<p>Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported overall sales of 97,435 units, a growth of 38&nbsp;per cent in February 2024 over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Last month's&nbsp;domestic sales accounted for 83,304 units, an increase from 52,451 units sold in February 2023. However,&nbsp;exports declined, with sales going&nbsp;from 18,170 units to 14,131 units in February 2024.&nbsp;Also, a look at the January 2024 sales performance tells us that the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation closed January 2024&nbsp;with&nbsp;cumulative sales of&nbsp;95,762 units, posting a 13 per cent&nbsp;increase over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Of these sales, the company sold&nbsp;&nbsp;80,511&nbsp;units within the domestic market&nbsp;while exporting 15,251 units globally during the same month.</p>

<p>Mr&nbsp;Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, "In February 2024, SMIPL accomplished production of one million units, thus achieving full utilization of the plant’s annual production capacity in less than a year. Furthermore, it continues its strong growth curve for the eleventh consecutive month. These achievements demonstrate the positive sentiment in the buyer’s mindset and the support of our valued business partners &amp; dedicated team members. With a focus on customer satisfaction, we aim for sustaining this growth momentum in the future."</p>

<h2>Suzuki Access 125 Hits 10 Lakh Unit Production Milestone</h2>

<p>In related news, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/suzuki-motorcycle-india-crosses-10-lakh-unit-production-mark-in-fy2023-24-116276/">company has&nbsp;crossed a new milestone in the financial year 2023-24</a> by rolling&nbsp;out the 1 millionth two-wheeler off its&nbsp;Kherki Dhaula factory in Gurugram, Haryana. This marks&nbsp;the full utilisation of the plant's annual production capacity within a year. The 10,00,000th model to roll off the line is the Suzuki Access 125, featuring a dual-tone Pearl Shining Beige colour&nbsp;scheme. The milestone comes within a year&nbsp;after <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/suzuki-access-125-achieves-50-lakh-unit-production-milestone-in-india-113899/">Suzuki's top-selling&nbsp;model&nbsp;achieved a 5 million (50 lakh) unit production milestone </a>(in July 2023)&nbsp;– which was achieved 16 years after the factory commenced operations in 2007.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Suzuki Access 125, first introduced in September 2007,&nbsp;comes powered by&nbsp;a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.58bhp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter is available in three variants in the Indian market&nbsp;– Standard, Special Edition, and Ride Connect, priced at Rs 79,899 for the Drum Brake, Rs 85,800 for the Disc Brake, and Rs 90,500 for the Disc Brake with Alloy Wheel, respectively. Meanwhile, the Standard Edition Disc Brake variant costs Rs 84,300. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. In terms of market rivalry, it goes up against the&nbsp;TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa,&nbsp;and Yamaha Fascino in the 125cc segment.</p>


Suzuki Motorcycle India Records 59% YoY Sales Growth in February 2024, More Than 83,000 Units Sold

Suzuki Motorcycle India's exports declined, with sales going from 18,170 units in February 2023 to 14,131 units in February 2024. 

<p>TVS Motor Company has registered a 34&nbsp;per cent rise in their total sales in February 2024. The Chennai-based company sold 3,57,810&nbsp;two-wheelers last month as against&nbsp;2,67,026&nbsp;units in February 2023. Of these total two-wheelers, 2,67,502 units were&nbsp;delivered to home buyers, while the remaining 90,308 units were exported to other regions of the world. That being so, the company's domestic two-wheelers&nbsp;made up a 21&nbsp;per cent increase over 2,21,402&nbsp;units sold in February 2023.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2>TVS' 2W, 3W&nbsp;Sales Figures for Feb. 2024</h2>

<p>The cumulative sales&nbsp;(two-wheelers +&nbsp;three-wheelers) of the company stood at&nbsp;3,68,424 units in February 2024, reporting a 33 per cent rise over&nbsp;2,76,150 units dispatched during the corresponding month of 2023. Nearly 1.85 lakh (1,84,023, to be precise) motorcycles went on sale during February 2024&nbsp;as against 1,26,243 samples in February 2023, registering a growth of 46 per cent.&nbsp;Scooters, on the other hand, represented a growth of 26 per cent, with sales increasing from&nbsp;1,04,825 units in February 2023 to 1,32,152 units in February 2024.</p>

<p>As for its three-wheelers, TVS registered sales&nbsp;of 10,614 units in February 2024 compared to 9,124 units in February 2023 (Growth:16 per cent). Meanwhile, in the electric vehicle space, the company reported selling 17,959 units last month,&nbsp;in comparison to 15,522&nbsp;units sold&nbsp;in February&nbsp;2023.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>TVS' Export Figures for Feb.&nbsp;2024</h2>

<p>In terms of exports, the sales surged from&nbsp;53,405 units&nbsp;in February 2023 to 98,856 units in the same month last year, denoting an 85 per cent increase.&nbsp;Two-wheeler exports&nbsp;registered a growth of 98&nbsp;per cent, with sales&nbsp;going&nbsp;from 45,624 units&nbsp;in February&nbsp;2023&nbsp;to 90,308&nbsp;units in February&nbsp;2024.</p>

<h2>TVS Raider is Brand's Top-selling Bike&nbsp;in FY2024</h2>

<p>In related news, the Raider 125, TVS' first bike in the 125cc segment, has surpassed the 7 lakh unit sales mark in the Indian market.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/tvs-raider-125-launched-at-rs-77500-110066/#:~:text=Since%20discontinuing%20the%20Phoenix%20125,ex%2Dshowroom%2C%20Delhi).">TVS&nbsp;launched the Raider 125 in September 2021</a>&nbsp;and, up until January 2024,&nbsp;a total of&nbsp;7,14,484 Raiders went to home buyers.&nbsp;Meanwhile, the 3,00,000-unit production milestone came in May 2023, more than 19 months after the bike was launched.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Powering&nbsp;the TVS Raider 125 is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures stand at&nbsp;11.2bhp and 11.2Nm, respectively.&nbsp;According to the company, the motorcycle can go from a halt to 60km/h in 5.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 99km/h.&nbsp;The bike is currently offered in three&nbsp;variants: SX, Split Seat, and <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/tvs-raider-single-seat-variant-launched-in-india-at-rs-93719-check-details-112930/">Single Seat, the last of which was launched in April 2023</a>.&nbsp;</p>


TVS Motor Company Clocks Domestic Two-Wheeler YoY Sales Growth of 21% in February, Exports up 98%

TVS Motor Company sold 3,57,810 two-wheelers last month as against 2,67,026 units in February 2023, registering a 34 per cent rise in their total sales.

<p>Maruti Suzuki has reported total sales of 1,97,471 units in February 2024, registering a 15 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase over February 2023's sales volume of 1,72,321 units. The company's entry-level models, the Alto and the S-Presso, continued to reel under stress, with sales plunging to 14,782 units compared to 21,875 units sold in February 2023. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki's subcompact cars – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR – were delivered to 71,627 buyers, registering a 10 per cent YoY decline last month. Last but not least, the midsize Ciaz sedan also remained on a downward path and clocked 481 units.</p>

<p>Speaking of sedans<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/maruti-suzuki-dzire-becomes-best-selling-sedan-in-january-hyundai-verna-beats-virtus-to-make-cut-in-top-5-116244/">,&nbsp;the Maruti Suzuki Dzire was&nbsp;the best-selling sedan in January 2024</a>&nbsp;with 16,773 units, up from 14,012 units in December 2023, thereby accounting&nbsp;for a 48 per cent YoY increase. Under the hood, the&nbsp;Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets&nbsp;a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with 89bhp and 113Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The same mill, mated to&nbsp;a 5-speed MT, produces 76bhp and 98.5Nm while operating on CNG. The sedan&nbsp;comes in four&nbsp;variants — ZXi, ZXi+, VXi, and LXi — with ex-showroom pricing ranging from Rs 6.57 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: UV Segment</h2>

<p>However, a notable 83 per cent YoY growth&nbsp;was recorded by the company's utility vehicles lineup, including&nbsp;the&nbsp;Brezza, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/maruti-suzuki-ertiga-becomes-the-first-mpv-to-surpass-10-lakh-unit-sales-mark-in-india-116118/">Ertiga (the first MPV to cross the 10 lakh unit sales mark in India</a>), Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny,and XL6. The UVs'&nbsp;February 2024&nbsp;sales stood at 61,234 units as opposed to&nbsp;33,550 units in February 2023. The only van offered by Maruti Suzuki&nbsp;– Eeco – clocked 12,147 units, denoting an increase of 7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: Exports</h2>

<p>While the company's domestic sales for February 2024 grew by a mere 9 per cent, exports witnessed a staggering 68 per cent growth to 28,927 units. In February 2023, the domestic sales and exports stood at 1,55,114 units and 17,207 units, respectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;Of 1,68,544 domestic passenger vehicles registered last month, 5,147 units went to Toyota India, marking a 20 per cent YoY increase.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: CV Segment</h2>

<p>In the commercial vehicle segment,&nbsp;the Maruti Suzuki&nbsp;Super Carry&nbsp;– the company's sole commercial vehicle in India – posted a 6 per cent degrowth in February 2024. First introduced in 2016, the Super Carry now comes powered by a&nbsp;1.2-litre, four-cylinder, K-Series dual jet, dual VVT engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Baleno, and more. When running on petrol, the car produces&nbsp;80bhp at 6,000rpm and 104Nm of peak torque at 2,900rpm. In CNG mode, it&nbsp;makes 71bhp at 6,000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 2,800rpm.&nbsp;</p>
