Suzuki Motorcycles India has refreshed its 2025 lineup, updating models like the V-Strom SX, Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250, and Gixxer SF 250. These motorcycles now adhere to OBD-2B emission standards and offer new colour variants. The Gixxer 250 models are priced from Rs 1.98 lakh, while the Gixxer SF 250 starts at Rs 2.07 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom.&nbsp;Customers can choose from three new paint jobs:&nbsp;a dual-tone Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White, Metallic Mat Black No. 2, and a mix of Metallic Mat Black No. 2 and Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red.&nbsp;In addition, the engines have been upgraded to meet OBD-2B compliance.

<h2>2025 Suzuki Gixxer 250: Engine, Design, Hardware</h2>

The updated 250 comes with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs&nbsp;1.98 lakh, and bookings are now open, with deliveries expected to start soon. Apart from this revision, it remains identical to the previous model.&nbsp;The 2025&nbsp;Gixxer 250 maintains the&nbsp;familiar design, including the flat LED headlamp, grab rails, robust fuel tank, LED taillights, a split seat, and extended tank extensions. As mentioned, it is available in three colour options: Pearl Glacier White, Metallic Mat Black No. 2, and Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red.

The bike is propelled by an&nbsp;OB2-compliant, 249cc&nbsp;single-cylinder unit. This engine develops&nbsp;26.5bhp of maximum power at 9,500rpm and 22.2Nm of peak torque&nbsp;at 7,500rpm and is coupled to a six-speed transmission.&nbsp;In terms of hardware, the Gixxer 250 features a preload-adjustable monoshock and a 41mm conventional telescopic fork. It is equipped with disc brakes on both ends (220mm rear and 300mm front) and comes standard with dual-channel ABS.&nbsp;

When it comes to features, the model boasts&nbsp;a Bluetooth-enabled digital console with functions like turn-by-turn navigation, missed call alerts, over-speed warnings, and ETA updates. There's also&nbsp;an optional 12V charging connector.

<h2>2025 Suzuki Gixxer SF&nbsp;250: Key Specs</h2>

The 2025 iteration of the Gixxer SF 250 is available for Rs 2.07 lakh (starting, ex-showroom).&nbsp;This results in&nbsp;an increase of Rs 2,000 compared to the previous Ride Connect version.&nbsp;The new Gixxer SF 250 is available in three distinct colours: Metallic Mat Black No. 2, Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White, and a combination of Metallic Mat Black No. 2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red.

The bookings for the SF 250 have commenced as well. The model&nbsp;houses&nbsp;a 249cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine which&nbsp;produces 22.2Nm of torque&nbsp;at 7,300rpm and 26bhp of power at 9,300rpm, paired with a six-speed transmission. It also incorporates Suzuki’s proprietary oil cooling system, designed for high performance, long-term durability, and low maintenance. Weighing 161 kg, the Gixxer SF 250 has&nbsp;telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock suspension in the rear. It features dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at both ends for effective stopping power.

The bike’s design draws from previous GSX models, particularly the headlight cluster, while the sleek fairing shares similarities with its smaller-displacement siblings. The Gixxer SF 250 sports&nbsp;split seats, clip-on handlebars, full LED lighting, a twin-barrel exhaust, a single-sided muffler, and a fully digital LCD instrument cluster.&nbsp;Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels with double five spokes, the Gixxer SF 250 is fitted with a 110/70 tubeless tyre at the front and a 150/60 tyre at the rear, offering a ground clearance of 165mm.

In May 2024, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/suzuki/">Suzuki Motorcycle India</a> recorded its highest-ever sales of 1,11,512 two-wheelers, up 22% over the same month the previous year. As opposed to 67,040 units sold in May 2023, it supplied 92,032 units domestically, which is a significant 37% YoY increase. The company sent 19,480 units abroad, witnessing a 19.76% decline from the 24,276 units it shipped the year before. <h2>Suzuki V-Strom 800DE</h2>

<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/suzuki-v-strom-800de-launched-in-india-at-rs-1030-lakh-gets-ride-by-wire-tft-display-and-more-116635/">Suzuki released the V-Strom 800DE in India</a> in March 2024, with a price tag of Rs 10.30 lakh. The adventure bike is powered by a&nbsp;776cc parallel-twin engine that produces 83bhp and 78Nm. It is paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quick-shifter.&nbsp;The bike's suspension unit includes an adjustable front fork and monoshock with remote preload adjustment. Its braking hardware is made up of 310mm front discs with four-piston floating callipers and 260mm rear discs and one-piston callipers.&nbsp;Dual-channel ABS is a standard feature on the bike, enabling users to deactivate the rear ABS when needed.

The V-Strom 800DE offers electronic rider aids like as a Traction Control System with two on-road and off-road modes, as well as a Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three riding modes (Active, Basic, and Comfort). Suzuki Motorcycle India has released its sales data for May 2024. It sold 92,032 units in the domestic market, registering a YoY growth of 37% from the 67,040 units delivered in May of last year.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., (SMIPL) has disclosed sales figures for the previous month. According to the firm, it sold a total of 88,731 units in April 2023, compared to 71,987 units at the same time last year, which gave it a boost of 23.3% in YoY sales. Domestically, the Japanese manufacturer’s Indian arm sold 67,259 units this April. However, last year in the same month, it only sold 54,327 units, which marks 23.8% domestic sales growth. As far as export goes, the company shipped 21,472 units abroad last month, as opposed to 17,660 units in April 2022, which led to a 21.59% increase in exports. &nbsp;According to the firm, the consistently booming sales are supported by its range of models, including the Access 125, the Gixxer series, and others.

<h2>April Sales 2023:&nbsp;What&nbsp;SMIPL Says?</h2>

Sharing his views on the sales performance, Mr. Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Suzuki Motorcycle India continues to grow at a double-digit rate. We registered a significant year-on-year growth of 23.3% in April 2023. This consistent sales performance is the result of growing demand for Suzuki two-wheelers in India and in overseas markets.''

He further shared, ''Apart from the sales growth, April 2023 proved to be quite progressive for the company as we successfully achieved the 7 millionth production milestone since the origin of the company in 2006. This month, we also introduced new colours for our third-generation Hayabusa.” &nbsp;

<h2>SMIPL March Sales 2023</h2>

SMIPL announced a 49% increase in sales this March compared to the same month in 2022. In March 2023, it sold 73,069 units domestically and delivered 24,515 units internationally, whereas, in March 2022, it sold a total of 65,495 units. Also, compared to the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2022, total sales for the entire 2022–23 fiscal year increased by 24.3% to 9,38,371 units from 754,938 units retailed in that fiscal year.&nbsp;

<h2>Suzuki Motorcycle India Surpassed 70 Lakh Sales Mark</h2>

In a recent development, Suzuki Motorcycle India also crossed the 70 lakh sales milestone. The V-Strom SX was the 7 millionth unit to roll out of the manufacturing line at the Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram, Haryana. For those unaware, the company began its operations in February 2006, and within just 17 years, it managed to develop and deliver 70 lakh units.&nbsp;

This year’s Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup witnesses a lot of young participants from the north-east.

As far as motor racing goes, with just three authorised circuits in India, infrastructure is limited. One of course is the Formula 1 grade Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida and there are two more in the southern region – in Chennai and Coimbatore. It is no news that motor racing is an expensive sport and it doesn’t help that the circuits are few and far. For obvious reasons then, racing in India has more often than not seen talent emerging from the southern region. That is not to say that there isn’t enough flair for racing in the rest of the country – it is just about going that extra mile to find it, and Suzuki has done just that.&nbsp;

Alongside the Gixxer Cup, Suzuki also runs the Road to Rookies Cup in association with JK Tyre and Red Bull. It serves as a platform for budding racers between the age of 12-16 years to showcase their skill. After three rounds at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, the most talented rider gets a go at qualifying for the Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup in Spain. While the Japanese bikemaker had run the event last year too, this year’s grid has a lot of participants from the north-eastern region of the country.&nbsp;

Unlike most other racing championships in the country, Suzuki has taken the effort to literally scout talent from four corners of the county. For the Road to Rookies Cup, the selection rounds were organised in Delhi, Aizawl, Pune and Bangalore. While the selection round in Delhi, Pune and Bangalore was at a go-kart circuit, in Aizawl, it was held at an air strip. The selection was not just based on pure skill but also on the attitude and likelihood of pursuing a racing career. The result? Despite not having a certified circuit to hone their skills on, four out of the seven racers in the Road to Rookies Cup are from Aizawl.&nbsp; 
 
We recently got a chance to witness the Round 2 of the Road to Rookies Cup. A 1:33.477-minute lap brought Aizawl-based Lalnunsanga pole position for Race 1 while Lalhruaizela secured second place on the grid. The first race of the Red Bull Rookies cup was undoubtedly the most nail-biting one of the weekend. Gunawardena and Lalhruaizela fought throughout the 8-lap race and only to cross the line neck and neck. The Sri Lankan rider, however, managed to cross the finish line just 0.010 seconds ahead of Lalhruaizela. In Race 2, Gunwardena managed to pull a lead right at the start and stayed ahead till the end of the race. Meanwhile, Lahruaizela and Varoon S fought throughout the race to finish in second and third respectively.&nbsp;
