<p>The Indo-Japanese corporation is providing a discount of Rs 68,000 on the Fronx's turbo-petrol variant. It includes a&nbsp;cash saving&nbsp;of Rs 15,000, corporate perks valued at Rs 13,000, an exchange incentive of Rs 10,000, along with the Velocity Edition package of Rs 30,000. There are two engine options for the <a href="https://www.autox.com/reviews/car-reviews/maruti-suzuki-fronx-review-baleno-in-grand-vitaras-clothing-112863/">Fronx</a>: a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol (99bhp/147.6Nm), and a 1.2-litre&nbsp;naturally aspirated petrol (89bhp/113Nm). Transmission options for the Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine comprise a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission, while the NA petrol unit has a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission. In India, the Fronx starts at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Baleno hatchback from <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/maruti-suzuki-crosses-3-crore-unit-production-mark-in-india-116688/">Maruti Suzuki</a> comes with a discount worth Rs 53,000 in April,&nbsp;which comprises a cash discount of Rs 35,000, a corporate benefit of Rs 3,000, and an exchange benefit worth Rs 15,000. The&nbsp; Baleno has&nbsp;a 1.2-litre&nbsp;Dual-Jet petrol engine that can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.&nbsp;In petrol form, the Baleno produces 89bhp and 113Nm. When operating on CNG, it produces 76.4bhp and 98.5Nm.&nbsp;The Baleno costs between Rs 6.66 lakh and Rs 9.88 lakh. Both are the ex-showroom prices.</p>

<p>The Ciaz sedan is available for a Rs 53,000 discount this month, which includes a Rs 25,000 cash discount, a Rs 25,000 exchange incentive, and a Rs 3,000 corporate advantage. The Maruti Suzuki model is driven&nbsp;by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 104bhp and 138Nm, with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque converter. The price of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/maruti-suzuki-dzire-becomes-best-selling-sedan-in-january-hyundai-verna-beats-virtus-to-make-cut-in-top-5-116244/">sedan</a> ranges between Rs 9.40 lakh and Rs 12.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).</p>

Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Grand Vitara, Baleno and More Get Discounts of up to Rs 1.5 Lakh in April

Maruti Suzuki is providing significant discounts on cars including the Jimny, Baleno, and Fronx in April. The advantages include cash savings, corporate incentives, and more.

<p>Maruti Suzuki has reported total sales of 1,97,471 units in February 2024, registering a 15 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase over February 2023's sales volume of 1,72,321 units. The company's entry-level models, the Alto and the S-Presso, continued to reel under stress, with sales plunging to 14,782 units compared to 21,875 units sold in February 2023. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki's subcompact cars – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR – were delivered to 71,627 buyers, registering a 10 per cent YoY decline last month. Last but not least, the midsize Ciaz sedan also remained on a downward path and clocked 481 units.</p>

Under the hood, the&nbsp;Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets&nbsp;a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with 89bhp and 113Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The same mill, mated to&nbsp;a 5-speed MT, produces 76bhp and 98.5Nm while operating on CNG. The sedan&nbsp;comes in four&nbsp;variants — ZXi, ZXi+, VXi, and LXi — with ex-showroom pricing ranging from Rs 6.57 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: UV Segment</h2>

<p>However, a notable 83 per cent YoY growth&nbsp;was recorded by the company's utility vehicles lineup, including&nbsp;the&nbsp;Brezza, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/maruti-suzuki-ertiga-becomes-the-first-mpv-to-surpass-10-lakh-unit-sales-mark-in-india-116118/">Ertiga (the first MPV to cross the 10 lakh unit sales mark in India</a>), Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny,and XL6. The UVs'&nbsp;February 2024&nbsp;sales stood at 61,234 units as opposed to&nbsp;33,550 units in February 2023. The only van offered by Maruti Suzuki&nbsp;– Eeco – clocked 12,147 units, denoting an increase of 7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: Exports</h2>

<p>While the company's domestic sales for February 2024 grew by a mere 9 per cent, exports witnessed a staggering 68 per cent growth to 28,927 units. In February 2023, the domestic sales and exports stood at 1,55,114 units and 17,207 units, respectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;Of 1,68,544 domestic passenger vehicles registered last month, 5,147 units went to Toyota India, marking a 20 per cent YoY increase.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki February 2024: CV Segment</h2>

<p>In the commercial vehicle segment,&nbsp;the Maruti Suzuki&nbsp;Super Carry&nbsp;– the company's sole commercial vehicle in India – posted a 6 per cent degrowth in February 2024. First introduced in 2016, the Super Carry now comes powered by a&nbsp;1.2-litre, four-cylinder, K-Series dual jet, dual VVT engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Baleno, and more. When running on petrol, the car produces&nbsp;80bhp at 6,000rpm and 104Nm of peak torque at 2,900rpm. In CNG mode, it&nbsp;makes 71bhp at 6,000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 2,800rpm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>India’s most prominent carmaker Maruti Suzuki has today launched the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/grand-vitara/">Grand Vitara</a>, a compact SUV, that will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. Maruti has however differentiated the Grand Vitara from the others in the segment (apart from the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder) by offering it with strong hybrid technology and AWD! The Grand Vitara is now the halo product for Maruti Suzuki in the Indian market.</p>

<p>As far as demand goes, bookings for the SUV has been ongoing for a token sum of Rs 11,000, and according to Maruti, they have already crossed the 55,000 unit mark. Rest assured, if you make a booking now, you will have to wait it out for close to 6 months at least to receive delivery.</p>

<p>What makes the Grand Vitara so special is the hybrid tech (borrowed from Toyota) underneath the bonnet. There is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, that runs on the Atkinson cycle. It has been mated with an electric motor, and together, they both power the front wheels. As this is a strong hybrid setup, the Grand Vitara is capable of electric-only drive. The only transmission on offer is a CVT, and the drive only goes to the front wheels.</p>

<p>There is another 1.5-litre engine on offer, but this one has come from Maruti’s own stable. It too is offered with a mild hybrid setup, one we have already seen on other <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/">Maruti cars</a> like the Brezza. What we have not seen before is the presence of AWD, which makes this version of the Grand Vitara rather special too. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and and a six-speed automatic (torque converter), but the AWD can only be had with a manual transmission - not that we are complaining!</p>

<p>In terms of features, the Grand Vitara is loaded with a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, connected car tech, six airbags, ESP and a tyre pressure monitoring system, among other things.</p>

<p>In the grand scheme of things, Maruti is asking for Rs 50,000 more compared to the strong hybrid versions of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Rs 20,000 more for the mild-hybrid ones.</p>

Maruti Grand Vitara launched in India, price starts at Rs 10.45 lakh

The Grand Vitara is back! Maruti Suzuki’s new flagship SUV returns in an all new avatar with really interesting powertrain options, with all wheel drive on offer and even a proper strong hybrid which promises best in class fuel efficiency.

<p>The opening leg of the 2017 Maruti-Suzuki Desert Storm concluded as the competitors made their way through three special stages as the rally convoy made their way from Hanumangarh to Bikaner in Rajasthan. Suresh Rana and co-driver Ashwin Naik are in the lead of the Xtreme category from Gaurav Chiripal/Srikanth Gowda by 51 seconds. Both are driving Grand Vitaras as is third placed Sanjay Agarwal/Shivprakash E who is a further 3:53 minutes behind Chiripal. </p>
<p>The Moto category only contested two special stages today, however, after which Hero MotoSports' CS Santosh is leading TVS Racing's Tanveer Abdul Wahid by just 19 seconds. Wahid's teammate R. Nataraj is just under three minutes behind him. The duo are riding the RTR 450 FX while Santosh is riding the Hero-Speedbrain 450 Rally. </p>
<p>The leg ran largely incident free with no major accidents and with the distances manageable for the experienced drivers and riders in the field. The loose sand did catch out some of the less powerful vehicles, especially riders, some of whom struggled to underway after the start of the first special stage of the day. </p>
<p>Tomorrow's second leg will take the rally convoy from Bikaner to Jaisalmer. Along the way will be three more special stages with a total distance of 138 kilometers. </p>
<p>All stages are at least 40km long and the field is expected to spread out further in the classification after their completion. </p>
