<p>Following its international debut, the second-generation Maserati GranTurismo&nbsp;will arrive in India&nbsp;on August 30, 2024.&nbsp;The Grand Tourer will be offered in both petrol and electric versions. The former is set to arrive&nbsp;here first, followed by the all-electric variant&nbsp;(Folgore) later.&nbsp;The all-new Maserati GranTurismo retains&nbsp;the low-slung stance and clean lines of the previous generation model while reflecting a progressive style.&nbsp;It gets a large Maserati Trident insignia within a grille, a splitter, large vents on the front bumper, sleek vertical headlights, and&nbsp;slim triangle-shaped taillights.&nbsp;The all-electric Folgore variant looks the same, but new bumpers and fender badging distinguish it as a battery-powered car.</p>

<h2>New Maserati GranTurismo: Powertrain</h2>

<p>The new GranTurismo features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine located behind the front axle. This engine produces 483bhp and 600Nm in the base Modena model, and 550bhp and 650Nm&nbsp;in the performance-oriented Trofeo version.&nbsp;The former goes from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302km/h,&nbsp;while the latter claims a sprint time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h. Both models come with an all-wheel drive.&nbsp;Though Maserati has yet to announce, we expect both petrol-powered models to hit our markets next month.</p>

<p>The GranTurismo Folgore&nbsp;comes with a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined power rating of 751bhp and 1,350Nm.&nbsp;It has a maximum speed of 325km/h and 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. The electric variant features a 92.5 kWh battery that allows for a range of up to 450 kilometres on a full charge.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>New Maserati GranTurismo: Interior and Features</h2>

<p>A lot of the conventional buttons inside the GranTurismo&nbsp;are swapped with touch-based controls and digital screens, marking a major interior makeover.&nbsp;In addition to a huge central touchscreen and digital instrument display,&nbsp;the cockpit now includes an adjustable digital screen in place of the traditional analog dashboard watch.&nbsp;There's another 8.8-inch touchscreen underneath the primary 12.3-inch screen&nbsp;that handles the air conditioning and seat adjustments.</p>

<h2>New Maserati GranTurismo: Expected Price</h2>

<p>The starting price of the GranTurismo is expected to go beyond Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom, India). While the petrol-powered model will lock horns with the&nbsp;Bentley Continental GT, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/ferrari/roma/">Ferrari Roma</a>,&nbsp;the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/aston-martin/vantage/">Aston Martin Vantage</a>, and the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/porsche/911/">Porsche 911</a>, the electric version will go up against the&nbsp;Audi RS e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan.&nbsp;</p>

The new Maserati GranTurismo will be offered in both petrol and electric versions. The former is set to arrive here first, followed by the all-electric variant (Folgore) later.

<p>As confirmed last year, Maserati will launch the second-generation GranTurismo between April and June 2024, with its electric Folgore variant joining later in the October to December period. Revealed&nbsp;in 2022, the new Maserati GranTurismo gets a 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno&nbsp;V6 engine mated to an 8-speed transmission, sending power to all four wheels. It is offered in two variants: Modena and performance-oriented Trofeo.&nbsp;The former churns out 483bhp and 600Nm of peak torque, while the latter makes 542bhp and 650Nm. Meanwhile, the recently unveiled all-new GranCabrio convertible comes in a Trofeo variant (for now). While it gets the same mechanical components as its coupe sibling, the GranCabrio weighs about 100kg more. Despite that, 0 to 100km/h takes&nbsp;3.6 seconds, 0.1 seconds more than the GranTurismo Trofeo. The top speed is marked at 315km/h.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the biggest talking point is its fabric convertible top that can be lowered in 14 seconds, at speeds up to 50km/h. The cloth soft top is offered in five colours (Blue, Black, Dark Red, Grey, and 'Greige'), and can be operated with the help of the vehicle's&nbsp;touchscreen.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo: Exterior</h2>

<p>Speaking of colour options, there are six standard body&nbsp;colours to pair with the fabric soft-top&nbsp;–&nbsp;Nero Assoluto, Bianco Astro, Blu Modena, Grigio Incognito, Grigio Maratea Matte, and green metallic, along with bespoke colour options. In essence, the GranCabrio closely resembles the GranTurismo. Up front, it gets the signature oval grille with a Trident emblem, air vents on the front fenders, vertical headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and a long bonnet.</p>

<p>In profile, the new Maserati GranCabrio gets a 20-inch front and a 21-inch rear wheel. At the rear, there are redesigned tail lamps with boomerang-shaped DRLs.&nbsp;In terms of dimensions, the car&nbsp;measures 4,960mm in length and 1,950mm in width. The wheelbase stands at 2,920mm.</p>

<h2>Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo: Interior</h2>

<p>Like the Maserati GranTurismo, the GranCabrio&nbsp;gets a&nbsp;12.3-inch centre infotainment&nbsp;screen with&nbsp;an 8.8-inch display beneath to handle climate control settings, complete&nbsp;with wireless&nbsp;Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Furthermore, the Italian carmaker offers a&nbsp;head-up display dedicated to speed and navigation, Maserati Connect for connected car tech, and Level 2 ADAS&nbsp;features.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The standard equipment includes a Sonus Faber audio system with 13 speakers and 2D surround as well as&nbsp;a neck warmer with three different intensity levels.&nbsp;The optional bits, meanwhile, include a manually operated wind stopper for the front row. This helps reduce turbulence for the passengers when the top is open.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo: India Launch?</h2>

<p>The&nbsp;Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo&nbsp;will be launched in the American market in the summer of 2024. Price-wise, it will command a premium over the GranTurismo, which retails at $ 1,90,000 (roughly Rs 1.57 crore). However, it remains to be seen whether this model arrives on the Indian market.&nbsp;Nevertheless,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/maserati-granturismo-folgore-ev-to-launch-in-india-next-year-heres-what-you-should-know-115334/">India will surely get the new GranTurismo by June 2024</a>, followed by its all-electric variant at a later&nbsp;date.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the performance-oriented Trofeo claims a maximum&nbsp;power and torque output&nbsp;of 542bhp&nbsp;and 650Nm, respectively. On top of that, the peak speed is raised to 320km/h, while the 0 to 100km/h acceleration time drops to 3.5 seconds. All-wheel drive is standard on both models. It's unclear if Maserati will sell the GranTurismo in India in both gasoline and diesel versions.</p>

<p>With its flowing lines, expanded bonnet, and low-slung appearance, the new GranTurismo maintains the progressive style of its predecessor. The lower bumper has pronounced vents and a splitter element, while the nose is adorned with a large Maserati Trident emblem. Vents to release extra air over the car's bodywork are also new, and they are situated just behind the grille. The GranTurismo maintains the recognisable triple vent layout found on all Maserati vehicles along its sides.&nbsp;With more streamlined triangular taillights than the previous generation, the rear design has undergone a change as well.&nbsp;</p>
