The Force Gurkha twins get a more powerful Mercedes-Benz-sourced 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which makes 138bhp (up by 48bhp) and 320Nm of peak torque.
Although there is no formal announcement, Force Motors will likely introduce a rear-wheel-drive variant of the 3-door Gurkha in India soon. The upcoming RWD version is expected to cost somewhere around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The Force Gurkha 3-Door is available at Rs 16.75 lakh, whereas the 5-Door version is priced at Rs 18 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
The Force Gurkha 5-door is 425mm longer and 15mm taller than the 3-door variant in terms of dimensions, measuring 4,390mm in length and 2,095mm in height (without roof carrier).
The Force Gurkha, now available in both 3-door and 5-door guises, is equipped with a more powerful diesel engine that adheres to the stricter BS6 Phase II emission norms.
While the exact launch date is yet to be announced, Force Motors is expected to bring the new 5-door Gurkha alongside the updated 3-door version later this month.
