<p>At the front, the Force Gurkha 5-door looks identical to its updated 3-door counterpart, with both versions getting&nbsp;a&nbsp;two-slat grille with Gurkha lettering, round LED headlamps,&nbsp;fog lights with cornering function,&nbsp;fender-mounted turn indicators, and a snorkel. When viewed from the side,&nbsp;the 5-door SUV features a&nbsp;425mm longer wheelbase to make room for an additional third row of captain seats. Additionally, the SUVs get&nbsp;blacked-out door handles, chunky wheel arches, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.&nbsp;</p>

The former is available at Rs 16.75 lakh, whereas the latter sets you back by&nbsp;Rs 18 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. As expected, the&nbsp;Gurkha 5-door commands a premium of Rs 1 lakh+ over its 3-door sibling.&nbsp;The bookings for both versions are open for a token amount of&nbsp;Rs 25,000, while the deliveries for the same will commence in the coming days.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of design, the brand-new Force Gurkha 5-door closely resembles its updated 3-door counterpart. <p>Coming to its dimensions, the&nbsp;Gurkha 5-door is 4,390mm in length and&nbsp;2,095mm (without a roof carrier) in height, making it 425mm longer and 15mm taller than the 3-door model. Moreover, it has a longer wheelbase&nbsp;(2,825mm versus the 3-door's 2,400mm). However, all&nbsp;other dimensions, including the width, remain the same as&nbsp;the 3-door.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Force Gurkha 5-door, 3-door: Availability, Market Competition</h2>

<p>The price announcement of the Force Gurkha is scheduled to take place in early May 2024, which will be soon followed by customer deliveries. Interested customers can make their reservations at a token amount of Rs 25,000.&nbsp;</p>

Force Gurkha 5-Door SUV Unveiled Along with Updated 3-Door Counterpart, Gets 138bhp Diesel Engine

The Force Gurkha, now available in both 3-door and 5-door guises, is equipped with a more powerful diesel engine that adheres to the stricter BS6 Phase II emission norms.

<p>Following a teaser a few days ago, the Force Gurkha 5-door is back to offer us a first glimpse into its interior. The dashboard layout looks quite familiar,&nbsp;albeit with a big infotainment touchscreen. We expect the&nbsp;display to be larger than the one currently available. The teaser also reveals a new digital instrument cluster, providing access to information such as speed and tyre pressure. Another update is in the form of a revamped centre console, ditching the&nbsp;traditional 4x4 selector in favour of a knob and therefore offering more space.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A second-row bench seat along with two individual chairs for the rear occupants can also be seen, indicating that the upcoming Force Gurkha 5-door will be available in different seating configurations, whereas the 3-door Gurkha will continue with a four-seater arrangement. For off-roading, the 5-door SUV&nbsp;will be equipped with&nbsp;an electronically controlled shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive selector enabling you to&nbsp;shift from two-wheel-drive to four-wheel-drive&nbsp;with the turn&nbsp;of a knob. This is mounted on the centre console.&nbsp;</p>

The spare wheel is presumably under the bed rather than on the tailboard. Because it is based on the Gurkha, it has a side-hinged tailboard instead of a drop-down cover like most pickups.</p>

<p>Speaking of the engine, the pickup will likely follow the specifics of the 3-door Gurkha, which has a 2.6-litre diesel unit, capable of producing 90bhp and 250Nm. For transmission, it gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, and it comes standard with a 4x4.</p>
