Hero MotoCorp experienced a significant dip in its overall two-wheeler performance for April 2025. The company dispatched about 3.05 lakh units during the month, representing a sharp 42.76% fall compared to the 5.34 lakh units sold in April last year. Month-over-month (MoM) figures also declined, with March 2025 having recorded roughly 5.50 lakh units, a 44.43% drop. Scooter sales followed suit, falling to 19,317 units, a 47.85% decrease YoY and a substantial 55.04% drop MoM. The VIDA V2 electric scooter clocked 7,116 retail units in April 2025, while VAHAN recorded 6,123 registrations. This marks a solid increase from previous levels, indicating that Hero’s EV efforts are gaining traction amid an otherwise challenging market environment.<h2>2025 Hero Splendor Plus Range Launched in India</h2>Hero has refreshed its Splendor Plus lineup to meet the latest OBD2B emission norms, resulting in a uniform price hike of Rs 1,750 across all variants. The entry-level model now starts at Rs 78,926 (ex-showroom), while the top-spec Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 carries a price tag of Rs 85,501 (ex-showroom).

Hero MotoCorp has reported strong performance for both March 2025 and the full FY2024–25, with notable gains in its two-wheeler sales. The company closed March with over 5.49 lakh units sold – a 12% jump over about 4.90 lakh units recorded during the same month last year. Motorcycles made up the bulk of these sales, growing to roughly 5.07 lakh units, while scooter sales also improved, reaching 42,963 units, up 27.5% year-on-year. Domestic sales stood at 5.10 lakh units, reflecting an 11% increase, while exports rose to 39,518 units, up over 25%. Across the financial year, the manufacturer delivered 58.99 lakh units, a 4.94% increase from FY2023–24’s 56.21 lakh. Motorcycle sales reached 54.76 lakh units, a 5.51% growth, while scooters saw a minor drop to 4.22 lakh units. The sportier Xtreme 250R, offered at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom), focuses on delivering high-performance dynamics with an aggressive design. The Xtreme 250R uses a 250cc, DOHC engine generating 30bhp and 25Nm, mounted on a steel trellis frame with USD forks, monoshock rear suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and switchable ABS for enhanced control and stability.

Hero MotoCorp Posts 12% YoY Sales Growth in March, Sells Over 5.49 Lakh Units

Hero MotoCorp closed March with sales of over 5.49 lakh units — a 12% increase compared to the approximately 4.90 lakh units sold during the same month last year.

In November 2024, Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 4.60 lakh units, representing a decline of 6.36%. This was a volume de-growth of 31,245 units from the previous year’s 4.91 lakh units. Of the total, the sales of motorcycles registered a drop of 3.49% year-on-year.&nbsp;For reference, Hero sold a total of 4.26 lakh motorcycles last month, down by 15,420 units from the 4.41 lakh units sold in November of the previous year. Despite the decline in overall sales, motorcycles remained the dominant segment for Hero MotoCorp, making up 92.62% of the market share. However, on a month-on-month basis, they experienced a more pronounced drop of 33.02%.

<h2>Hero MotoCorp November 2024 Sales: More Highlights</h2>

Similar to motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp witnessed a sharp decline in its scooter sales. It sold 33,949 units, a drop of 31.79% from the 49,774 units sold in the same month the previous year. Month-on-month, the sales experienced a 21.60% contraction, down from 43,304 units in October 2024.

Coming back to the overall sales (motorcycles and Scooters), while Hero saw a 7.67% reduction in domestic sales, the international shipments surged by 35.65% year-on-year.&nbsp;Compared to the 14,764 units shipped in November 2023, Hero exported 20,028 units last month.&nbsp;This strong export growth highlights the company’s resilience in overseas markets, offsetting some of the domestic setbacks.

Hero MotoCorp has credited its strong sales performance to a surge in demand across&nbsp;urban and rural markets during the festive season, which is a peak period for vehicle sales in India. As mentioned before, the overall positive consumer sentiment played a significant role in driving these high numbers.

The company highlighted that the Xtreme 125R was a major contributor to growth in the 125cc segment, while the 100cc motorcycles also supported strong sales. Furthermore, the manufacturer's electric vehicle brand, VIDA, achieved a key milestone by selling 11,600 electric scooters during the festive period.&nbsp;In the premium segment, the X440, developed in collaboration with Harley-Davidson, performed well, with over 2,800 units sold, boosting Hero MotoCorp’s overall festive sales.&nbsp;
