<p>Honda has given the popular Grom, also called the MX125 in some iterations, a reasonable update for the model year 2024. As seen in the image,&nbsp;the 2024 Honda Grom receives&nbsp;some noticeable cosmetic changes&nbsp;but continues to feature the same powertrain setup. Designed for the Thailand market, the new Grom now gets a revised bodywork with updated graphics, a new LED headlight, as well as&nbsp;a sporty belly pan –&nbsp;which is a new addition to its design. However, the bike continues to maintain the same single-piece saddle, headlight shape, and turn signal placement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other than that, the 2024 Honda Grom remains&nbsp;unchanged. Powering the bike is the same&nbsp;124.9cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled motor that is capable of making&nbsp;9.6bhp and 10.5Nm of peak torque. In line with the latest emission norms, the Grom is&nbsp;Euro 5 compliant. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed gearbox.</p>

<h2>New Honda Grom: Suspension, Brakes</h2>

<p>The 2024 Honda Grom continues to sit on upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.&nbsp;Braking duties are performed by a 220mm disc at the front and a 190mm disc at the rear.</p>

<p>The updated Honda motorcycle comes in two configurations&nbsp;– Standard Honda Grom and Honda Grom with ABS, priced at&nbsp;฿ 69,900 (about Rs 1.65 lakh)&nbsp;and&nbsp;฿ 77,900 (about Rs 1.84 lakh), respectively. As for the colour options, the former comes in red-black and blue-black schemes, while the top-spec model is offered in grey-black.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While it&nbsp;has been announced for the Thailand market, the Honda Grom will be exported to a few other countries in the following months. However, the bike will not&nbsp;arrive here in&nbsp;India&nbsp;as it&nbsp;would&nbsp;be a challenging place for the bikemaker to make sales.&nbsp;For those not aware, Honda launched the Navi in the country in 2016. Based on the Activa 110, the Navi was quick to gain momentum due to its quirky appeal, customisation options, and reasonable&nbsp;price. But the vehicle soon lost the initial steam, and sales started&nbsp;declining soon after. As a consequence, Honda pulled the plug on the Navi in 2020, and didn’t launch the updated BS6 model.</p>

<h2>HMSI Sales Performance Nov. 2023</h2>

<p>Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported&nbsp;a 20 per cent&nbsp;year-over-year increase in sales during last month's festive season. The manufacturer sold&nbsp;a total of 4,47,849 vehicles&nbsp;compared to 3,73,221 units in November 2022. Of&nbsp;4,47,849 units, the automaker delivered 27,172 units abroad and 4,20,677 units domestically.&nbsp;However, on a month-on-month&nbsp;basis, the automaker witnessed a fall in both local and foreign sales. From 4,92,884 vehicles delivered in October 2023, the total sales dropped by 9.14 per cent.</p>

<p>In addition, exports declined by 9.84 per cent&nbsp;from 30,137 units delivered in October 2023 to 4,20,677 units last month. Meanwhile, domestic sales fell by 9.09 per cent&nbsp;to 4,62,747 units sold in October 2023.&nbsp;</p>
