<p>Hyundai took the wraps off its updated Nexo SUV at the Seoul Mobility Show in Korea. The fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) boasts the South Korean brand’s new ‘Art of Steel’ design language and is available with six different colour options: Phantom Black Pearl, Amazon Gray Metallic, Creamy White Pearl, Ocean Indigo Matte, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, and Goyo Copper Pearl. It comes with an enhanced powertrain that integrates a more potent hydrogen fuel cell stack, now producing 147.5bhp (up by 16% from the previous model), along with a 201bhp electric motor. The SUV includes a compact 2.64kWh battery and has a 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.8 seconds (which is approximately 1.4 seconds quicker than the previous model, which took 9.2 seconds). According to Hyundai's internal testing, the updated Nexo boasts over 700 kilometres of range.</p><h2>New Hyundai Nexo: Design and Dimensions</h2><p>The updated Nexo, inspired by the 2024 Initium concept, features Hyundai's 'Art of Steel' design, retaining the concept's 'HTWO' lighting signature and H-shaped bumper details (now in silver). Among some notable changes from the concept is the use of conventional roof rails. There are also four HTWO lights placed on the nose and tailgate, forming an ‘H’ in Morse code. Dimensionally, the updated Hyundai FCEV has grown in size, with a 79mm increase in length, 43mm in height, and 6mm in width, while the wheelbase stays the same at 2790mm.</p><h2>New Hyundai Nexo: Interior and Features</h2><p>

  </p><p>Inside, the Nexo offers a streamlined and technologically rich environment, consistent with Hyundai's modern design language. The dashboard is defined by a pair of 12.3-inch displays, providing infotainment and driver information. A premium 14-speaker Bang &amp; Olufsen system delivers audio, while digital side mirrors are integrated into the dashboard ends. Other highlights include an built-in front and rear dash cams, ventilated seats, a fingerprint-based authentication system, ambient lighting, reclining front seats with leg rests, and dual wireless chargers.</p><p>For safety, the redesigned Nexo incorporates a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This includes a blind-spot view monitor, navigation-based smart cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, emergency stop system, rear view monitor, surround view monitor, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. The vehicle is also equipped with nine airbags.</p><p>The updated Nexo SUV brings notable upgrades, such as a larger hydrogen tank capacity, now increased from 6.33 kg to 6.69 kg.
