Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) hosted the 'Samarth Assistive Devices Conclave' as part of its social commitment to promote inclusion for disabled people across the country.&nbsp;The conclave&nbsp;provided a forum for important discussions on themes like&nbsp;investing in assistive technologies for para sports, the difficulties associated with disability in India, and facilitating inclusion through assistive devices. During the event, 72 technologically advanced aids were distributed to disabled&nbsp;people in collaboration with the NGO Samarthanam Trust. Over the next three years, HMIL intends to deliver 684 assistive devices&nbsp;as part of its "Samarth by Hyundai" initiative. The devices&nbsp;will include&nbsp;bionic limbs, wheelchairs, digital kits for the visually impaired, hearing aids, and other assistive&nbsp;tools.&nbsp;These technologically advanced tools&nbsp;are intended to improve the users' movement, vision, hearing, and communication abilities.

Speaking at the event, Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, 'Hyundai Motor India is proud to spearhead the 'Samarth by Hyundai'&nbsp;initiative, which reflects our commitment to leveraging technology for the empowerment of individuals with disabilities. <h2>Samarth by Hyundai</h2>

Launched in November 2023, "Samarth by Hyundai" ensures that Hyundai Motor India's website is accessible to people with disabilities.&nbsp;The company also intends to make its physical sites accessible and accommodating for those with disabilities. Moreover, Hyundai Motor India is developing and introducing swivel seats and accessories with MOBIS to&nbsp;improve vehicle accessibility.&nbsp;

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) and Samarthanam will soon launch a programme using blind cricket as a platform to support the social and physical development of visually impaired people in India.&nbsp;With the help of this programme, visually impaired cricket players will be able to show their skills on bigger platforms by participating in international bilateral series and training camps.
