The market of performance bikes in India includes powerful beasts from reputable brands such as Ducati, Kawasaki, and BMW Motorrad. The performance-oriented motorcycles are more&nbsp;faster, powerful, and technology-driven as compared to the regular ones. These speed monsters are also more expensive than their conventional counterparts. If you are an adventure seeker with a lot of money to live your fantasy of cruising around the Indian roads on a performance bike, here are some options to consider.&nbsp;

<h2>Kawasaki Ninja H2R</h2>

The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/ninja-h2r/">Kawasaki Ninja H2R</a>, a track-only model, is the most powerful and expensive machine on the list. It is available in a single Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black paint finish, with a whopping price tag of Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/">Kawasaki</a> beast is equipped with a 998cc inline four-cylinder supercharged engine. The motor produces 305.7bhp at 14,000rpm when paired with a six-speed gearbox. However, the output number increases to 322bhp with a ram-air intake. The torque rating is 165Nm at 12,500rpm. The gearbox is six-speed, featuring a slip-and-assist clutch and Kawasaki's two-way quick shifter.

The bike's equipment list includes a Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that is compatible with the Kawasaki Cornering Management System. The instrument cluster shows both the bank angle and the highest bank angle achieved. The Kawasaki track-only machine is furnished with electronic rider aids such as cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch control, and engine brake control.

The Ninja H2R's suspension system consists of 43mm upside-down front forks and an Ohlins TTX36 gas-charged rear monoshock, both of which are completely adjustable. In addition, the set includes an Ohlins electronic steering damper. The motorcycle uses a single 250mm rotor with a two-piston Brembo calliper at the back and dual 330mm discs with four-piston Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers at the front for braking.

<h2>Ducati Panigale V4 R</h2>

At an ex-showroom price of Rs 69.99 lakh, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/panigale-v4-r/">Panigale V4 R</a> is the most formidable motorcycle offered by <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/">Ducati</a> in India. The robust machine is loaded with a plethora of features, such as traction control, wheelie control, multiple riding and power modes, cornering ABS, slide engine braking control, and auto tyre calibration. It is equipped with a Desmosedici Stradale 998cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The unit is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 16,500rpm in sixth gear (16,000rpm in other gears).&nbsp;

In terms of power, the machine generates 215bhp at 15,500rpm and 111.3Nm at 12,000rpm. However, the Panigale V4 R unleashes the maximum power and torque outputs of 237bhp at 15,500 rpm and 118Nm at 12,250 rpm, respectively, when paired with the full-race exhaust from Akrapovic. The engine is coupled to a six-speed race gearbox with a Ducati quickshift. The Panigale V4's suspension is made up of Ohlins TTX 36 rear monoshocks and 43mm Ohlins NPX 25/30 front forks, both of which are completely adjustable. The Ducati <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/">motorcycle</a> features dual 330mm front discs with Brembo Monobloc Stylema M4.30 callipers and a 245mm single rotor with a two-piston calliper in the rear.&nbsp;

In the list of the most powerful bikes available in India, the Ducati Panigale V4 R is followed by its sibling, the V4. The V4 in the Ducati Panigale series costs Rs 27.72 lakh (ex-showroom). It is propelled by a 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled Desmosedici Stradale engine that develops 212.5bhp and 123.6Nm using a six-speed transmission.

<h2>BMW M 1000 RR</h2>

The powerful road-legal Beemer, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/m-1000-rr/">M 1000 RR</a>, is another model on the list for performance enthusiasts in India. The bike's Standard model is priced at Rs 49 lakh. On the other hand, the top-spec Competition variant costs Rs 55 lakh, which is Rs 6 lakh more than the base model. All prices are ex-showroom.&nbsp;

The M 1000 RR comes fitted with a 999cc in-line four-cylinder engine that generates 209bhp of maximum power at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm. The unit is connected to a manual 6-speed gearbox. The BMW model offers several noteworthy amenities, such as Shift Assist Pro, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, launch control, wheelie control, slide control, dynamic brake control, LED lighting, heated grips, cruise control, and traction control.&nbsp;

The M Competition package boasts some additional features like an anodised rear-wheel swinging arm, M Aero wheel coverings, and an M GPS lap trigger. The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/">BMW bike</a> is supported by a rear monoshock and 45mm upside-down forks, both of which can be adjusted for compression and rebound. The motorcycle's braking system consists of one 220mm disc at the rear and two 320mm discs at the front.

<h2>Ducati Streetfighter V4</h2>

The new <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/streetfighter-v4/">Ducati Streetfighter V4</a> is one of the best high-performance machines available in the country. It is offered in two variants: standard and <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/ducati-streetfighter-v4-s-launched-in-india-at-rs-28-lakh-116417/">V4 S</a>. The former costs Rs 24.62 lakh, while the latter is priced at Rs 27.80 lakh for the Ducati Red and Rs 28 lakh for the Grey Nero colours. The Streetfighter V4 from <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/">Ducati</a> is driven by a 1,103cc liquid-cooled V4 engine that produces an impressive 205bhp and 123Nm at 13,000rpm and 9,500rpm, respectively. The unit features a bi-directional quick-shifter and a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.&nbsp;

With the optional Ducati performance exhaust (track only), which is 6 kg lighter than the factory unit, the peak power and torque can be raised to 220bhp and 130Nm respectively. The suspension on the standard Streetfighter V4 is provided by a Sachs monoshock and a fully adjustable Showa Big Piston fork. For a more premium ride, upgrade to the top-spec V4 S, which comes with an electronically adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front fork and an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock. Both versions include dual-channel ABS along with twin 330mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the back.

<h2>BMW S 1000 RR / M 1000 R</h2>

<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/s-1000-rr/">BMW's S 1000 RR</a> is a supersport monster available in three trim levels: Standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport. The base model costs Rs 20.75 lakh, whereas the top-spec model is priced at Rs 25.25 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures. The bike sports a liquid-cooled, inline-four, 999cc engine with a BMW ShiftCam and a six-speed gearbox. It boasts performance figures of 113Nm at 11,000rpm and 206.5bhp at 13,750rpm, respectively.&nbsp;The motorcycle's electronic rider aids comprise a pit lane limitation, hill start control, bidirectional quick shifter, launch control, four ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race), traction control system with slide control function, and ABS with brake slide assist.&nbsp;

For suspension, the bike employs a 45mm USD front fork with preload, rebound, and compression adjustments. A rear monoshock with adjustable damping is also included. Braking is performed by a 320mm twin disc in front, and a 220mm disc at the back, along with multiple ABS modes.

In the hierarchy of performance motorcycles, the BMW M 1000 R sits next to its formidable sibling, the S 1000 RR. The starting price for the M 1000 R is Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom). The mechanical characteristics of the BMW Street Naked bike include a 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine with 210bhp at 13,750rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. A six-speed gearbox and quickshifter are attached to the motor. Among the features of the motorcycle are ride modes, keyless start, and multi-level traction control.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R has been listed on the company’s India website confirming that the ‘track-only’ supersport is available for purchase for its buyers in India. However, this exclusive motorcycle has seen a price hike and now retails at Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Other than the price change, the Ninja H2R continues to be the same. The styling is the same as before with two winglets on either side of the fairing. The motorcycle also sports aerodynamic blades where otherwise you’d find mirrors. The styling is very minimalistic and aerodynamic at the same time. The exhaust headers are exposed as the Ninja H2R does not inculcate an underbelly in its design philosophy. While the design largely aids the aero package, elements such as a single-sided swingarm and a mirror finished paint scheme add an exotic touch.

Moving to its engine, the 2021 Ninja H2R continues with the same 998cc in-line four-cylinder engine with a supercharger. The forced induction results in a power output of 305bhp at 14,000rpm, and with ram-air-intake the figure climbs up to 322bhp. The torque rating stands at 165Nm at 12,500rpm. To manage the power, Kawasaki has equipped the motorcycle with a six-axis IMU sourced by Bosch, that supports cornering ABS and Kawsaki’s multi-level Traction control system. The gearbox is a six-speed unit that comes with a slip-and assist clutch and Kawasaki’s two-way quick shifter.

The Kawasaki H2R is capable of hitting the 400km/hr mark within 26 seconds and does 0-100 km/hr in less than 3.5 seconds. The motorcycle tips the scale at 216kg and that is managed by using carbon fibre, quite liberally.&nbsp;

The list of cycle parts includes a 43mm USD (upside down) fork set up in the front and Ohlins TTX36 rear monoshock absorber unit. There is a 330mm twin-disc set up in the front with radially mounted Brembo M50 monobloc four-piston callipers and a 250mm disc with Brembo callipers in the rear.

At this price point and the equipment that the Ninja H2R pack, it has no competition in the Indian market.

2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R launched in India

As only one unit has been allocated for India for 2019, this is also likely to be the only Ninja H2R to roam the streets here for quite a while.&nbsp;

India Kawasaki Motor Pvt Ltd (IKMPL) celebrated an important milestone today as it has successfully delivered the first and only unit of its hypersport bike, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/ninja-h2r/">Ninja H2R</a>, in the country. However, the Japanese marque has not disclosed the identity of the buyer.&nbsp;

The 2019 Ninja H2R currently sits atop the global bike list for being the&nbsp;most powerful production motorcycle in the world, producing 306bhp and 165Nm of torque. This manic performance&nbsp;has been achieved thanks to some tuning trickery done in its 998cc liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder supercharged motor.

Speaking on the momentous occasion, Mr&nbsp;Naoki Matsumoto, MD of IKMPL said, 'We are indeed happy to deliver our flagship model, the Ninja H2R, in India. Kawasaki has stunned the world with this model. The Ninja H2R is the world’s first production supercharged hypersport motorcycle and to deliver one unit in India is certainly a proud moment for Kawasaki India.'

To manage all this power and performance and, more importantly, to make the motorcycle usable in an urban environment, the H2R gets a host of safety and riding tech like the&nbsp;Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM), Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Kawasaki Engine Brake Control and a Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS).

For 2019, further&nbsp;updates have been introduced to the model, which include&nbsp;a&nbsp;new TFT instrument cluster, Brembo's new Stylema&nbsp;monobloc brake callipers, Bridgestone RS11 tyres and Kawasaki's special 'self-healing' paint technology, which can repair minor scratches on its own. The 2019 Ninja H2R also gets full-LED lighting.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Indeed, this dream machine also demands a dream-like and a near-unfathomable price tag, which currently displays the figure of&nbsp;₹ 72 lakh (Ex-showroom, India).&nbsp;
