Following major automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia, Skoda India has also announced a price hike across all its models from January 2025.
To make it compatible with E20 regulations, Skoda Auto India is also testing its 1.5-litre TSI engine; certification is anticipated in Q4 2024. The higher-spec Skoda Kushaq and Slavia variants are equipped with this engine.
Skoda is reported to launch the Kushaq Facelift in India in August 2025. With several cosmetic and feature enhancements, the mid-size SUV will likely command a hefty premium over the current model, which starts at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda recently revised the prices for the Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan in India. It also changed the name for the variants of the models from Active, Ambition, and Style to Classic, Signature, and Prestige.
Skoda Auto has announced a substantial price cut across all variants of the Kushaq SUV, and given a host of variant-wise revisions as part of MY2024 updates.
The Skoda Kushaq mid-size SUV now stands between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh, while the Slavia sedan is priced from Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 18.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
Skoda has expanded the Kushaq Onyx range by including a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The powertrain setup generates 114bhp of maximum power and 178Nm of peak torque.
The Skoda Kushaq is eligible for discounts of up to Rs 2.50 lakh, while the Slavia sedan qualifies for benefits worth up to Rs 1.50 lakh.
The prices of the Skoda Kushaq stand between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 19.79 lakh, whereas the Slava is priced from Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 18.83 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
Skoda India will also introduce a brand-new sub-compact SUV soon. The model will likely go on sale in March next year. The competitors for this upcoming offering will include the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
