Additionally,&nbsp;the Punch is also offered in an electric variant with two battery options—25kWh and 35kWh.</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki Sales: November 2024</h2>

<p>Maruti Suzuki India reported a strong performance in November 2024, with total sales rising by 10% YoY&nbsp;to over 1.81 lakh&nbsp;units, compared to about 1.64 lakh&nbsp;units in November last year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew by 5%, reaching more than 1.41 lakh&nbsp;units, up from around 1.34 lakh&nbsp;units in the same month&nbsp;last year. However, sales in the mini car segment, which includes models like the Alto and S-Presso, saw a slight dip, falling to 9,750 units from 9,959 units. Similarly, compact cars, including the Baleno, Swift, and WagonR, saw sales decline to 61,373 units from 64,679 units sold&nbsp;in November 2023.</p>

<p>On the other hand, utility vehicles (UVs)&nbsp;such as the Brezza, Ertiga, and Grand Vitara performed strongly, with sales surging to 59,003 units compared to 49,016 units a year ago. The Eeco van also showed improved results, selling 10,589 units versus 10,226 units last November. Meanwhile, the Super Carry light commercial vehicle (LCV) recorded 2,926 units sold, up from 2,509 units previously. Lastly, export&nbsp;figures&nbsp;also saw a significant boost, with 28,633 units shipped in November 2024, up from 22,950 units in the same period last year.</p>

<h2>Dzire Sedan&nbsp;Gets Revamped</h2>

<p>The carmaker's most recent release is the next-generation Dzire sedan, introduced with a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;Its revamped look features angular headlights with horizontal DRLs, a wider grille with multiple slats, redesigned alloy wheels, and a more defined shoulder line. Other enhancements include redesigned fog lamp enclosures, a shark fin antenna, a boot lid spoiler, and distinctive Y-shaped LED taillights connected by a prominent chrome strip. Despite these changes, the car retains its overall dimensions, thanks to its continued use of the Heartect platform.</p>

<p>The 3-year-old and 18-month-old dummies had their child seats installed forward-facing using the ISOFIX mounts and top restraints.&nbsp;During the frontal crash test, the 3-year-old dummy's seat effectively shielded the head from impact, but the neck and chest received only little protection.&nbsp;The child seat for the 18-month-old, on the other hand,&nbsp;was unable to avoid rapid deceleration&nbsp;in the head and provided inadequate protection for the chest and neck in the frontal impact. In the side impact test, however, both dummies were fully protected.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Other Highlights</h2>

<p>The Africa-spec Ertiga's base model has two front airbags but no side or curtain airbags.&nbsp;&nbsp;It comes with three-point front seatbelts with force limiters and pre-tensioners installed.&nbsp;There are two 3-point seatbelts for the second row along with a center 2-point lap belt and two 3-point seatbelts for the third row.&nbsp;Additionally, the car has ISOFIX child seat anchors.&nbsp;The higher-end versions of the MPV come with an additional pair of side airbags.&nbsp;The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, even in the top-of-the-line models, does not possess active safety technology for pedestrian protection.</p>

Compared&nbsp;to 43,404 units sold last June, sales of utility cars, which comprise&nbsp;the Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, and XL6, were 52,373 units in June 2024.&nbsp;While sales of light commercial vehicles Super Carry were 2,758 units last month compared to 2,992 units in the same period last year, Eeco sales were 10,771 units last month compared to 9,354 units in June of last year.&nbsp;According to Maruti Suzuki India, its exports for last month&nbsp;were 31,033 units, up from 19,770 units in the same month the previous year.</p>
