McLaren Automotive is preparing to introduce a “new benchmark supercar” on April 26th at 4:28 AM IST. McLaren&nbsp;has been somewhat quiet about the model, but they have produced a brief teaser video showing the vehicle's tail end. While there isn't much to look at, you can expect a vented fascia and slim LED tail lights on this model. McLaren is keeping specifics under wraps, but we assume the mystery car to be the 720S's replacement. Towards the end of the teaser, we notice what look to be red LED taillights and despite being similar to the 720S's tail lights, little is known about the rest of the car's design.

McLaren's President of the Americas has intimated that the 720S's successor won't be a "next-generation, all-new, ground-up vehicle," but rather a "refinement." The 720S was discontinued in 2022. He further said that consumers have started placing deposits on the vehicle, making it sold out "deep into 2024."

The new McLaren vehicle will reportedly be equipped with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 that boosts power from 710bhp to 740bhp. This explains why the 750S designation seems appropriate for the model. According to industry reports, the vehicle will be an evolutionary refresh with a redesigned front bumper, wider intakes, and an air brake modelled after the 765LT's. The vehicle is also likely to incorporate a digital instrument cluster similar to the Artura's that sits above the steering wheel.

This vehicle is unlikely to have experimented with electrification as a hybrid, as we anticipate McLaren to do with future ground-up supercars. This indicates that the new vehicle would use the 720S's improved MonoCage II carbon fibre monocoque chassis as its foundation.

The teaser serves as a preview for the upcoming debut of the supercar. A few seconds of the 750S engine start-up and idling are audible before the recording is shut off.
